All saints is draining

They don’t care about mental health. They shout at you for no reason and expect you to do all your homework when it’s hard, the teachers expect you to treat them nicely when all they do is snap.

Terrible school, this was NOT the school i chose back in year 7… If i’m being totally honest it actually felt more like a prison than a school. The staff members couldn’t give a damn about your mental well-being but instead they’re more bothered about what you look like, if you have “red hair” or piercings for example. Phones aren’t allowed out during school hours, not even during your OWN break and lunch. Too many strict rules, thank god i’ve left. You also need to stand outside in the cold and hold a “knowledge organiser” up in the air as a staff member blows a whistle at around 8:30 in the morning.

3 stars

I would have given it two stars but ni gave it three because the support teachers and most of the staff were so great and helpful. I loved the school when I started, but when i left i was thankful I wasnt staying another year, because by the time I left it felt like a prison. In the morning, you had to walk up to the tennis thing place and hold your "knowledge organisers" (which were BS if I might add) in your right hand (you got told off if you did it in your left) on a whistle and then put it down on a another whistle. There were lines drawn on the floor to indicate which direction you should be going, even tho it was too crowded to work (since you had to also line up outside your class), with your shirt tucked in. In the first three years, you were allowed to go to the MASSIVE field down the bottom which made lunch a lot less crowded, but then they said you couldn't even in the summer because "they said so". I was made to miss PE (my favourite lesson) to do extra English because they thought I needed help. Fiar enough it did help, but even when I got good at it they still made me go. And they CANCELLED PE during the exam time so we all had to go do extra work. They didnt even let us have study break, we got there weeks and had to fight like hell, just to get that. Not to mention they CANCELLED SPORTS DAY!!! we appealed and complained (especially since it was the last year) and all they gave us was the things no one likes to do, like athletics. So not many people signed up and they cancelled again. ( Just for background sports day were the best, the whole day was different activities, one main thing that you choose, climbing street surfing, swimming and loads more, then in afternoon stuff like races and tug of war and things like that. So it was AMAZING until management changed and everything went to literal s**t). Its no question that the principle and vice/acting head woman was to blame for it all going t*ts up.
They even cancelled the computer science course i was two years through, yes canceled two years into a course, and MADE everyone switch to a different designing course. WE.HAD.NO.CHOICE. WITH ANYTHING, AND TO "MAKE UP FOR THE TIME LOST" WE HAD TO SPEND A WEEK OUT OF NORMAL LESSON TO WATCH CRAP VIDOES OF PHOTOSHOP AND STUFF SO WE KNEW WHAT WE WERE DOING READY FOR THE EXAM AND ASSIGNMENT IN 1 YEAR. And why did they do it? Because they said it was "too hard" and we wouldnt be able to pass, even though nearly everyone had above half marks in every single test. So not only did they not let us have the option of choosing a different subject (for our future), they also called us stupid as well.
The SEN department was BRILLIANT and I cant stress that enough. They helped me through some really hard times and i would always go there at lunch, without a doubt. They were always there if I needed them, either to talk to or just to have a little cry and a hug. Most of the teachers were amazing as well, really supportive but the SEN people were by far my favourite and the best help I could ever have.
I don't know how many of the originals are still there, from when I went, because just as i left, they started going because they weren't being listened to.
About half the enitire school teachers left because they were being treated badly by management and management wasnt taking sen children's needs into account or the actual teachers needs. That was obvious just by looking at the teachers and being at the school.
But the teachers were so nice and I could hardly fault them.
I did love that school but too much changed and it felt like I wasnt at the school I had picked anymore 😔😭

Coming from a student going into their final year

Care more about their appearance to the public than they do about the education of the students of the school. New teachers every year and a load leave every year, care more about your uniform and how you look than the learning, if a teacher is off they make you sit in silence for an hour and copy out pages of content, homework is every night and just copying out pages of content, they have recently cut off break times and only give students 1 lunchtime for the whole day, meaning they go up to 4 hours of lesson time before they get a break. We also absolutely aren’t allowed to go to the toilet during lessons so that is 4 hours without a toilet break. Overall not a great school, I don’t really get pushed, Teachers aren’t great other than a few. May seem amazing to the public eye but all their resources go on making them seem like a good school rather than actually being a good school.
