bad bad school don’t no how to handle bullying overall just a horrifc school don’t go there the teachers there don’t help and they are just un trust worthy they make promises they can’t keep
Bad school
School is a joke haven’t got a clue about anything say one thing and then change there story to punish the child this is an ongoing issue now my son feels like he’s being punished for every little thing he does, currently he’s sat in compass for a football tackle that was an accident (and told this by teacher after watching cctv ) and has been made to right a letter of apology to the other boy last week now it’s being classed as assault after teachers already viewed the cctv now they have changed there mind. Also gets detentions for any little things ie not getting 100% on home work due to not being in lesson that it was taugh due to being 5 seconds late to lesson and getting a detention or send to compass for it even though the lesson he has just come from is on the other side of the school teachers are more intrested in handing out sanctions then teaching or helping the kids I’ve spoke to loads of parents who feel this way and after reading the reviews on here I see it’s been going on for a while it’s about time the school did something to help the students rather than punishing them for sneezing or dropping a pen
Improvements.
Having been to the school myself, I can say with great certainty that it has improved massively over the past years. Since the new principle arrived, there has been more monitoring of behviour and appropriate reinforcement applied to situations that arrive. There is still a long way to go before this school can be considered excellent however, it is now a safe space for secondary students and sixth form students as well as staff.
Dont let your children go to Marine Academy
The school is full of nothing but racist kids and half witted staff who do nothing but punish and monitor the smallest of things but dont focus on trying to help students properly they force there sixth form upon the year 11 students and teachers have signed students up for courses they dont even want to do and expect them to go to there sixth form there anti bullying policy is nothing short of a joke and there senior leadership team is in dire need of reformation as they do nothing but order children around every single head of year is useless in performing there role and do nothing but moan about the smallest of things
