The teachers are psycho, who gives a **** about blazers they should all die or grow up at least. the heating is trash and some of the teachers are very abusive and one called me a monkey and one teacher called me too obese and that if i jumped in the pool id cause a tsunami and destroy cardiff.

Horrendous school. I went in 2015 until 2022. Pastoral office is a joke, any issues such as racism are ignored. No help or support is offered. All that is cared about is grades regardless of how damaging this attitude is to students. I have seen many students struggle and leave early. Many students have mental health issues due to poor treatment and stress from teachers and primarily the head teachers ethos of good grades over everything. The counciling support is like putting a plaster on a cancer and calling it a job well done. Sure the grades are brilliant here, but actually isn't it more important to walk out of a school knowing you can cope with your next steps in achievement? Rather than being so torn down and exhausted that you sell yourself short or give up all together.

There is also a drastically obviously lack of upkeep of the school itself. The windows are often broken, the hall is drab with curtains which look like they have been chewed by moths. The school buildings are so old that it is freezing cold in the winter due to poor design and the boiler constantly being broken down. In these situations your children will NOT be permitted to wear coats. The buildings often leak when it rains and it causes areas of classrooms to be unusable. In the summer these same rooms turn into saunas. The boiler always miraculously seems to be working and on full power during the entirety of the summer with no way of turning the heat off in individual classrooms. The students are not permitted to take off blazers in this heat or to get water is they run out. The only time these rules change is if the school employs a PE kit day, which is only allowed on days with heatwaves. So 85% of the time will not be the case during summer. It is blatant mistreatment.

They also have a gender less toilet system in the middle of the hall as the main toilets for students years 7 to 10. These are not very private at all with everyone walking past to get to lessons hearing any excretion or pad being opened. They also have cameras facing these door providing even less privacy for students. I'm almost certain that this is a violation of the law.

Please think twice before putting your children into this school.

In contrast the Marion centre of the school is the best part. The children there are well looked after with recorces and teachers who care about both their educational needs and welfare.

i have additional needs in a classroom as I suffer with severe tics & frequent panic attacks, and at first the school were really supportive. Me and my head of year wrote an email to all my teachers explaining what needs to be put in place during lessons. My first problem was when one of my teachers refused to let me sit at the back with my friend (it was stated in the email) and when i explained about the email she purposefully sat me at the front. Another incident was when I was clearly being bullied by boys in my class (constantly being called a fat pig and other rude names as well as being punched and slapped for weeks) so naturally i went to my head of year- crying might i add- and i was told i would be moved away from them in lessons and they would be punished, just for them to do nothing. Most teachers do not care about students wellbeing, I have a get out pass which i use for my panic attacks and tics. Very recently I used my pass as i was having a quite severe panic attack and tics, just for my teacher to say i can only stay out of class for 5 minutes. When i was gone for about 30 minutes he comes out and starts telling me off and getting mad. Bonus story the PE teachers were yelling degrading comments at people in my class when they were struggling to run 800 metres in 3 minutes.
All in all, it's a good school academically, but the teachers are rubbish for the most part.

The teachers three bored rubbers at my friend just because he was an Irish catholic
And the Volkswagen sexuals have taken over the staff
And the teachers banned the Scottish students from yelling like idiots in the class room

This school is bad
The toilets don't work, they don't teach you anything, and the teachers are all racist. My friend was expelled for being of German descent, and another friend was suspended for claiming that the Japanese committed war crimes in ww2. They don't give a frick about bullying and student wellbeing. All of them are communist, and socialist pigs
