My honest review as a year 11 autistic kid
I'm about to leave this school and I'm over the moon, this place was so bad, I'm of the autism base and since nicolau left, it's been a hellspawn. We've been split into two places and they don't even feel like a base, they also ignore mental health blatantly, I'm suffering from depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and bipolar and they've only put me in a risk assessment, this is abhorrent, im not sending my kids here when I have them and I recommend you do the exact same if you're a parent seeing this!

Why I hate Cwmbran High School.
I hate Cwmbran high school. They don't care about students mental health or wellbeing. The bullying is unreal, The canteen food is undercooked and in small portions. No Air Conditioning for the summer and the teachers give out negatives on classcharts for nothing. It's ridiculous, considering the headteacher is 'trying to improve the school' By taking away mobile phones, timeout cards and toilet passes. Parents, please never send your kids here.

This school is an absolute disgrace! It has failed both my children on numerous occasions regarding additional learning needs... I have absolutely nothing good or positive to say about any of it; The whole system, the staff, the rules... All ridiculous... Very badly run, dreadful teaching, zero effort, zero compassion, zero communication!!! An utter disgrace to the educational system!!!!

Do not send your kids to this school!! There are no proper teachers all supply’s, the children are very badly behaved and not at all mature, the teachers do not take serious things seriously. Don’t recommend.

The school make people worried about the future
Very poor school, do not send your children.
Absolutely terrible school. I would give 0 stars if I could. The school has many fights and arguments. They have a punishment system to put disruptive students into other classes to disrupt other people's learning. It was hard to concentrate because of how disruptive a lot of students and teachers are so I ended up not getting as good of GCSEs that I could have. I am quite glad to have left this school and I certainly will not be sending any children that I end up having to it. Hopefully, it will be closed down soon because it is awful.
Bad community
Most of the teachers are good but the school is overall bad. The way student behaviour is dealt with is terrible and the learning environment is extremely bad at catering to students with disabilities that aren't in the Learning Difficulty Base due to high level academic achievement (eg. A student with ADHD/ADD, anxiety, OCD or other mental conditions). The school has barely any diversity and is extremely bad at tackling bullying or preventing hate crimes. The best diversity you'll get is a handful of students who are in the LGBTQ+ community and most of them are picked on because of it.
Overall, the school really needs to work on dealing with student behaviour and creating a more accepting environment to welcome minorities and become overall a better environment for the disabled, foreign and challenged students.

i got bullied loads in school any nothing was sorted, the school found out about me and called child services and forced me into counselling, the school only care about their uniform and reputation.
