Discussing attitude of headteacher

Recieved a parent letter today banning parents from the visiting the school. What type of a headteacher behaves in this way... If I could give 0 stars I would. He truly does not care about the children in his school, all he is interested in is exam results. Wellbeing of children and their parents is non existent. Staff moral is at an all time low. Can't wait for the next ESTYN inspection. They need to drop the "community" from the schools name.

cwmtawe

Personally, I went to cwmtawe and I thought it to be an awful school, I never got bullied or anything of the sort but the pupils that did had no help off of the staff even when told that they would, the learning technique there is just for children to read off a board and write down what they see. Overall I think it’s an awful school for many more reasons and I will definitely not be sending my children here

School

I’ve never really liked school for the school work side of things. But most of the teachers are supportive and will help you when you need it. I do think some of the rules are over the top but i feel like all schools have un necessary rules but it’s not a terrible school but i know some people have probably had their own experiences.

shit-tip

School is falling apart, teachers feel the need to point very little detail out when something is happening that they don’t like, overall the school is going downhill and the child welfare manager does absolutely nothing and needs to be replaced.

cwmtawe

don’t send your kids there

do not send your kids to cwmtawe, I was on the school and ended being mistreated here, a lot off teacher swore at me and bulled me, I got kicked out of the school because I had enough off it, I got kept isolating for 3 months because off my shoes then refused to send information over to my new school about me, not a good school at all wouldn’t send my kids there

Don’t deal with bullying and don’t have care for students who need it.

I’m in year 10. Over the course of my 3 years, I’ve dealt with bullying, anxiety and depression. When one of my friends who was worried about me told a teacher, I was pulled into the office. I told them what was going on, and they did absolutely nothing. Not even a detention for the bullies. Also, I have traits of ADHD, and so I went to my doctor who told me I had to go through the school. My mum called the head of year last year, and I still haven’t had an assessment.

Child Indoctrination

The Truth Cwmtawe Community School cover up.

I have 2 boys at this school, if both parents of a child here are not together as in a couple relationship and are separated from each other, then I would advise DONT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL with a big capital WARNING. One parent will be completely cut out of their child's education, health decision, all your GOD GIVEN PARENTAL RIGHRS in LAW, will be ignored & will CEASE to EXSIT. When there is Parental Alienation & home abuse going on, with informing the school of the facts, this abuse is also ignored, with no help given what's so ever & the school is very happy for the Alienation mind manipulation brainwashing to continue. Again when asked for some communication or even to be informed about counciling, the school takes the side from which the Alienation is coming from, which will have life long depremental issues, concerning trust, self, relationship issues that are connected to the child bonding process & child trumar issues for decades, if not the rest of your child's life. If you want a happy well adjusted child and both parents wish to be involved in the upbringing of their child/children and are separated, then for the mental health of your child DONT SENT HE or SHE to school, one parent will always be treated as if they don't exsit and didn't even have part in his or her conception.

Could be better

Ok. Everyone complained about the school toilets, about how the doors locks were broken, the toilets were broken, wouldn’t flush. Yet nothing was done to fix it. I got sick in year 10 and I feel like this school failed to help. If you’re a normal child without issues or illnesses the school is fine. But if not, they were extremely pushy with my fatigue. They could’ve done more to help.

School needs improvement

Good school but bad handling of awkward situations. As a pupil of the school , I have noticed that most teachers are extremely kind and helpful bye there are a few that aren't very supportive. The handling of covid by the school has been amazing. There are lots of extra curricular options and activities
