Forres Academy

I work here and I feel so sorry for the pupils. The school is in shambles, the upper floor is locked off and over 1000 pupils are crammed into the small ground floor area. Teachers and staff have no where to go when they aren't teaching. Pupils with additional needs have no where to go when they need to be alone. All the staff are extremely stressed out and don't hide it for the pupils instead they vent to them. The pupils get very little support and the ones who try their best get no reward, the ones who disrupt classes get to go out on trips and cause no end of noise in the corridors. I'm so sorry guys you deserve better and you should speak to your parent/guardian about transferring out. There is no future in this school for the next 4 years until a new building is provided.

Toilets are a bit damaged and most teachers are nice

It's meh. There are some good teachers, but majority are rude, disrespectful. The music corridor is forgotten about causing its quality and maintenance to fall vastly behind. Guidance is useless for seniors. A large portion of students smoke, vape, drink and use many different drug substances, and bullying/homophobia/racism etc. all go heavily unpunished. The school building itself is essentially falling apart with changing room roof panels bending because of mold buildup. Half the toilets do not have working locks, and sinks don't work. Technology is quite far behind (extremely slow etc.) PE department don't like you unless you are 10/10 at physical education. Barley any clubs at all. The food is alright but the S3/S4 lunch hall is like hell, water bottles getting thrown, food being chucked. All hell breaks loose. 2/10 wouldn't recommend, unless you have any other choice.

fuck this school the teachers are so not helpful and try to get me in truble for nothing. and it is like a cage fight every day. and a lot of studants smoke weed

This place sucks, the rules aren't enforced enough, resulting in bullying, drug usage, and alcohol consumption being high. The teachers are awful, nothing else needs saying. The food is the best bit about it.

I ran through the physics corridor and was threatened and bunsen point by a teacher there he threatened to "Put my head through the window you smelly twat" and then he kicked salt crystals at me .

So far my experience with forres academy has been absolutely shocking. The teachers half of the time do not know what they are doing or do not care what they are doing. Our current online situation is just as bad. Very very little teaching going on despite exams being cancelled again for us all. PE teachers lack respect or just basic decency for any pupil unless you are 10/10 at sport. Just don’t bother, try elgin.
