Hi I'm one the pupils Scarlett I would like to say you need your school I was riding school dinners and this school with pony tail and her late 40 50. I attended Gilcomstoun in the late 80’s so I can’t give any current updates but from memory it was probably the best school I ever attended. Terrific large playing field for things like PE/sports and lots of room outside for kids to play. Meals were always good standard as well during this period. The Victorian era building also adds to its charm. Classrooms never felt cramped and had plenty of space due to the older design. A large gym/music hall as well for things like nativity plays etc. Mr Duncan was head teacher at the time and Mrs Bennett one of the most popular teachers. I appreciate many things will have probably changed over the decades but this school will always have special memories for me.

So far my daughter started mid year. Has no access to stuff for weeks still not sorted. Bullying and mean psas.School not taking anything seriously. Do not send a child there.

I am a past student of this school.I'm sad to say it's had better days and better head teachers (not going to be named) health safety is atrocious I've seen mold and algy on the pipe going towards the tap! I'm disgusted thinking about. Bullying is a problem that also needs to be sorted here before you send children here. Gilcomstoun rely on positive publicity, such as when inspectors come to evaluate the school we're told weeks in advance to behave and we do, then the school gets bad evaluation and blames students. Overall don't send Children to this health hazard and I'd like to say I hope the good teachers there can get jobs at better schools they deserve it.

They support everyone in that school and you should send your kids there , the teacher are lovely and caring and the headmaster is excellent, they open there school to everyone and they have a base to help people that are finding it difficult to work in a class and all the psa are lovely and supportive
