Head teacher is a controlling, awful person who lacks any empathy for children. Punishments include being placed alone in hallways for hours at a time, sometimes all day, as young as 5 years old. Extremely conservative Christian outlook. Children are branded as either 'good', and can do no wrong, or 'bad', and can do no right. There is no academic reward or encouragement whatsoever. Communication with parents is practically non-existant. The school was pre-warned of an Ofsted inspection and children were made to do a single task for 3 days, that they were supposed to have done throughout the year, and back-date their work. There are a couple of amazing teachers who manage to make their classrooms safe and really positive, but until there is a change in Head teacher, the atmosphere of watchful cruelty will pervade.

Some fantastic teachers. Some awful teachers. Head teacher is utterly unprofessional. Very poor communication (practically non-existant, even through Covid). No sense of empathy at all. The overwhelming atmosphere from the administration is of coldness and cruelty. Children are divided into 'good' kids, who can do no wrong, and 'bad' kids who can do no right. No child can change category once determined through behaviour. No recognition of academic success whatsoever. Punishments include children being placed in hallways alone for hours, sometimes all day, as young as five. Serious incidences go unreported. School was pre-warned of an Ofsted inspection and students had to spend 3 days doing work they should have done earlier in the year, and pre-dating all their work. This school does have some dedicated and wonderful teachers, and could be a lovely school, but only with a new administration.
