Depressing

Went for a couple of taster days at this school

It claims to be a supportive school with happy & enthusiastic pupils.
but that’s far from the truth……
the whole place is just depressing the classes are extremely boring and all everyone does is just do work on their iPads in silence with no fun or communication until break time & lunch
The buildings are dull and every single student is forced to dress like a nun due to the school uniform policy
Teachers are average but much more boring than ones you’d usually get in a average state school
The Senior Ranked Teachers are stuck up & arrogant and think their better than everyone and treat parents with an average household income like they are poor & homeless.
While my parents were working on getting a place in this school for me to start my exams I was not accepted and at the meeting they said my knowledge was extremely dumb and I would never achieve National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher ( at the time I was doing National 4 & 5 work in school ) and basically told my parents to go find somewhere else as I didn’t meet the requirements & that was not true what they said I did meet the requirements for what they expect every teenager’s knowledge to be like

I come from a family that has an usual uk household income so in conclusion they discriminated me & my family because of our income even though most of the citizens in the uk have the same exact income as my family do.

So please if your a average family like mine are and are thinking of applying for a place at this school please find somewhere else they will discriminate you like they did with my family
But if your a rich family that earns over £70.000 then they will treat you like royalty I’m guessing and will 99% give your child/children a place at the school.

Great school

Great school, excellent experience. Dedicated and hard-working staff who go above and beyond to help you succeed. Fantastic co-curricular opportunities.

Discrimination

The admissions team discriminated my child because they were "not smart enough" to be given a placement in the school (basically saying my child was too stupid)
the school offers Nat4 Nat5 Highers And Advance Highers and my child is at Nat4 Stage they said to us that I should get a tutor for my child.

my child and I had been wanting to get a placement in this school to get away from the current violence at the state schools and when the school discriminated and rejected my child after they did the entrance assessment they were devastated and crying for months causing their mental health to deteriorate really badly.

If you want the best grades go here…. Otherwise

Good at getting results, but a terrible internal culture of bulling.

Shambolic

School cares more about fattening their own pockets than providing a good rounded education for the pupils, simply don’t care, miles behind any other private school in the country, they bully teachers and students alike. Would never send my kids here

Average

Allows absolutely no individuality, at all and the teaching is no better than a public school
