Worst school in perth

Worst school in WA , My experience at Mercy College has been really disappointing and draining. It feels like the teachers care far more about appearances, rules, and how things look on the surface than they do about actual education or students mental health. There’s a constant pressure to present yourself a certain way, but very little support when it comes to how students are actually feeling or coping.
What also bad is the lack of understanding and empathy. Students go through real struggles whether it’s mental health issues, personal problems, or even serious situations and it often feels like none of that matters here. You could be visibly upset, overwhelmed, or dealing with something serious, and the teachers won’t even ask if you’re feeling okay. Some teachers mainly a small amount of them will actually understand you and care but majority like head of year head of subjects really don’t. It’s like the student perspective is completely ignored. Instead of feeling supported or heard, you feel judged or brushed aside. Bigger roles in the school department are the worse people they don’t care about your feelings just your behaviour but don’t even think to question why you act like that. School should be a place where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow—not a place where they feel misunderstood and mentally drained. These teachers don’t give af about you or anyone just themselves and the school. We are here to learn and make friends and express our selves not be TIRED of going to school because of your teachers. Honestly they don’t even care if your in the hospital or something serious they “ follow by school protocol. They don’t care if your sick, crying or unwell they just put shit on you. And they shit talk in front of you of what you wear or style your appearance and they said “ then go find a different school” they don’t take there tone and how they speak and what they speak in a way they just do it offensively which obviously makes the student angry. If you want your mental health to be good I suggest going to a different school don’t make the mistake as I did .

DO BETTER.

I’m honestly really disappointed with Mercy College. It feels like the school doesn’t genuinely care about its students or their wellbeing. Many of the teachers come across as unhelpful or uninterested, which makes it hard to stay motivated or feel supported in class.

What’s even more frustrating is that they seem to care more about things like uniforms than actual education. Instead of focusing on helping students learn and succeed, there’s a lot of attention on minor uniform issues, which feels unnecessary and unfair.

They also don’t seem to value students’ opinions when situations happen. Rather than listening or trying to understand both sides, decisions are often made without considering how students feel, which can be really discouraging.

Bullying is another serious issue, and it doesn’t feel like enough is being done about it. Students who are struggling often feel ignored, and there isn’t a strong sense of safety or support.

Mental health support is also lacking. There are times when students are clearly upset or overwhelmed, even to the point of crying, and it feels like it goes unnoticed or isn’t taken seriously. A school should be a place where students feel supported emotionally, not just academically.

On top of that, if you’re even slightly late to class, the reaction can feel way too extreme. Some teachers also won’t allow students to go to the toilet, which is a basic need and should be treated with more understanding.

Overall, it’s a frustrating and disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone looking for a supportive, understanding, and student-focused environment.

NEVER GO HERE

DO NOT ENROLL TO THIS SCHOOL. This school is absolutely fucked up in the head. Teachers even all of them with head of year do not even care about bullying and let it happen since they only want their pay check only like a dickhead. They don’t even follow their own rules saying if you’re breaking one of the rules you will get suspended automatically. This school system is so retarded where students are breaking rules in front the teacher and let it pass in front of their face. The only time if you get notification or message sent to your parents is only incorrect uniform. Where they should be notifying about bullying to both parents and solving it where they only cared about my INCORRECT socks. Most of the students here either having fights or vaping most of the times and bullying for fun since they control the school because of the teachers couldn’t give a fuck about grades or bullying. The food is poor since it’s completely packed with processed refrozen chemical preservatives added into it. One time in cooking where my partner were messing around decided to put the mop in sink and you get blamed for not do anything even though you were. Teachers never taking anything seriously here and all of student year groups are fucked in the head where they make rumours or beef about you even though you haven’t done anything. Three of my past friends in different and same year groups have left the school for exactly same reason. Some students have taken pictures of people changing and posted it online. NEVER ENROLL TO THIS SCHOOL AND MENTAL HEALTH TOO. ( don’t fw with the Arab students since they will mostly bully you)

Mercy College, Kondoola, Perth

I am a former student that left halfway through year 11 due to my mental health. This school made me feel unsafe, belittled and I was bullied but not only students but staff throughout basically all of my time here. The school cares more about uniform than education, they had notified my parents more on my incorrect socks or jumper more times than any of my schooling progress, (I was sitting at a D and E). I would also like to add their summer uniform is thicker and heavier than their winter uniform, their summer being a wool and winter being thin cotton. My RE HOLAR also lied to me and my parents, during the meeting they agreed to mark my assignment normally, once i resubmitted my assignment they marked it at 0%, (i later found out they had lost my original assignment and lied to me and blamed me for not handing it in). Mercy College is sub-standard at best and they do not follow their own values. I do not recommend sending anyone you truly care about to this school

thoughts on mercy college

Situation, not great. Many students are disrespectful to others and during Mass, Acknowledgement of country and assemblies. Several teachers only allow 2 toilet breaks a semester or not at all. Religion is okay and events are chill tho. foods too expensive and there are always too many people in canteen line. Some people are bullied for just having autism and has reached the point this school has therapists(counselors) for those people.

MONSTERS

THEY'RE HIDING THE TRUTH, THEY HID MY REVIEW ON GOOGLE, I CAN NOT STAND FOR THIS INSANITY AND THEN THEY BLOCKED REVIEWS, HOW DISGUSTING. They also can't control their students, all the students act like complete monsters and most of the teachers do nothing which internally makes the students into full on movie villains at some points and some teachers are quite helpful and others are basically just abusive.

not very good school

not great. teachers can be bad but some are very nice. lockers should be bigger in my opinion. teachers do try to literally break into your locker and if your locker is unlocked they will open it and look through your things. very strict about uniform and care more about uniform rather then education. winter uniform is thinner then summer uniform. some teachers don’t respect that if you are a different religion and you don’t want to read the bible they force you to. canteen prices growing. not really any place to eat recess/lunch. some relief teachers rely on watching a video rather then doing the actual work that the teacher assigned then makes them do the work they were meant to do for homework. even if you are one second after the bell you will be marked as late

Stay away for mental health

Left 2 year before graduation. Always cliquish. The religion is shoved down throat and seem to leave little to no room for any other religions. You’re an outcast if you don’t play soccer or are not a basic white girl. Stay away for the safety of your children and mental health of teenagers
