My son went to Oakleigh house school in 2021 and we left after two terms, due to the general attitude of the school staff, starting from our arrival in the morning and the rather noticeable failure by the class teacher + teaching assistant to greet me (unless too obvious, on a handful of occasions), while hushing my son into class. Broadly speaking, the teachers were not forthcoming in addressing or talking to me - unlike they were with other parents - and looked keen on keeping our communication mostly at email level. My experience in brief: if you would like your child educated by some posh teacher at a provincial institution with very average standards - and are glad to splash out on it for all that - Oakleigh House is the place for you.

Oakleigh is a fantastic school, providing endless opportunities for each of the pupils. Each subject within the school is taught well by qualified and passionate teachers who keep students engaged with lessons. The school sports variety is large and the teams train hard to achieve well-earnt success frequently. The performing arts aspect of the school is diverse and outstanding, with a range of musical and drama lessons backed by an annual Christmas Show. School trips are exciting and broaden horizons in appealing ways to each of the students. The school building itself is constantly being improved and pupils can expect to go back to a safe and friendly environment as usual. The staff is firm with pupils to prevent misbehaving but students are also tried to test their capacity and leadership skills. From Nursery up to Year 6, students of Oakleigh are constantly learning new things and improving on their range of skills. If Oakleigh is a potential for you, go for it.
