The school is really good with the teachers being brilliant and being able to help students who will actually use it but the support teachers are lazy and they will try to get over with situations as fast as they can, students who misbehave all the time and cause harm are allowed to stay even when their actions should be considered criminal yet the support teachers brush self defense as ‘fighting’ even when someone has been bullied by the same person over and over. These kids should have the police talked to them and should be let go as soon as 4th year ends if they’ve not been excluded already, also this is just a totally different thing but why demolish a perfectly good building which could have been built onto for an ugly obvious extension with metal plates for exterior walls and cover up the historic floors with sheets of vinyl.

Do not send your child to this school if you believe in integrity as this school has none.
My estranged daughter is a student at this institution and I was requesting her school help to facilitate in the handing of a letter from myself to my daughter who is in her final year.
Now under the parental guidance act this is something the school is more than able to assist me with, not only did they never return any of my phone calls they failed to acknowledge my emails to the school, all but one when I was left with a vague one line response ( simply signed school office - the head teacher Mrs Jones' never once contacted myself ) which is illegal as these were formal and lawful requests, both measured and reasonable attempts to exercise my duty to provide age-appropriate guidance to my daughter. It placed no legal burden on the school other than to discreetly pass a sealed envelope to a student, which is entirely within their capacity and aligns with best practice in child-centred education.
Their stance is legally inadequate under 
    data protection law (UK GDPR 
    Art. 12–15)
It is also dismissive of my parental rights under Scots law.
Devoid of reasoning, justification and nasic professionalism.
And it was clearly Indicative of either a lack of legal advice, or a failure to follow it
If legal advice was genuinely sought, as previously claimed by the school, it is difficult to believe that any solicitor would have advised the Head Teacher to issue a one-sentence rejection of two valid legal requests. No contact was ever made by your legal team, and no proper explanation was offered.
This entire situation could have been resolved amicably and professionally but unfortunately they don't abide to their parents rights charter nor do they value it as they showed me nothing but contempt as a parent with no cause of justification as I have no criminal record, I provided proof of who I was etc;
I have Submitted a formal complaint to Dumfries and Galloway Council Education Services.
I have also reported the school to the 
   Information Commissioner’s 
   Office (ICO) for breach of UK GDPE and have escalated the matter to the 
   Scottish Public Services 
   Ombudsman for maladministration.

Now, would you want to send your child to a school that treats parents or pupils this way and acts in such an un professional matter?

The teachers like having affairs with each other

Good school no bad stuff going on

Very good school with some amazing teaching staff, could be a lot better tho by having clubs for example and more places for study
