racist ahh school

this school is lowkey racist tf. i vivdly remember being in reception and year 1 where other children would exclude me for me being black and if i got angry with them the teachers would punish me. e.g. i ask to play with somebody and they reply “ you cant play with me because you’re black” and quite obviously a 4 or 5 year old is not going to respond calmly to such a thing they would most definitely shout at that child and/or throw a tantrum and in fact even someone who is a grown adult would express their anger if someone said something similar to that to them. but school didnt do anything except punish ME so if you are not white i don’t recommend sending your children here they will have a horrible time pls don’t put them through what i had to go through

hated my time here

Asquith is a pretty bad school my year 6 teacher was the worst often sending people out of class and leaving them out i was sent out of class for being silly and left out there for 2 hours i was often sent down to the head teacher office this school does knowing on bullying and here are a a lot of bullies at this school.my teacher also did not let are class use the bathroom more than once a day in lesson time apparently "getting us ready for high school"but when we got to high school it was not like the way they were prepping us for at all i had multiple mental health issues in primary school and there was only one teacher who understood and listened to your problems everyone had lunch at the same time so when 150+ children were being loud we were made to eat in silence.i also experienced when i have into an arguing with one of my peers in year five i was not allowed to play outside at lunch or break for 6 months.this school put you in groups if your struggling making friends of keeping them but these groups are often not on or are cancelled. i will say my behaviour was not spectacular all the time but the punishments were cruel and affected more that ones person mental health i was often bullied for my weight and told a number of staff and i got the same response every time "ignore them" i will credit one teacher though she was a non teaching member of staff i was amazing overall always listened to students and tried to make school life some what bearable. i would also like to add that i was terrible at maths in primary and i had one instance were i refused to work with the teacher and had a panic attack and the response to that from a teacher was "suck it up and get out".

Fantastic School, Fantastic staff!!

Asquith school is amazing!! The teaching staff go above and beyond and really look after each individual child’s needs. Throughout COVID they really worked hard to keep children and staff safe. I would highly recommend this school!!
