Aureus School

My son is currently in Year 10 at Aureus Secondary School, and we have been very happy with his experience so far. He enjoys going to school and is motivated to learn, which for me is a clear sign that he feels comfortable and supported in his environment. We have never had any issues with bullying or any kind of mistreatment. The school feels safe, welcoming, and well-managed. The teachers are extremely kind, helpful, and easy to contact whenever needed. Communication with the school has always been smooth and professional. Overall, I believe Aureus Secondary is an excellent school, and I am very pleased with the education and care my son receives there. I would happily recommend it to other parents.

Worse school ever! A lot of violence and racism and even of this they try to makes you to see as a normal thing for teenagers. Staff are not cooperating and had teacher don’t know anything about what’s happening in the school and they even don’t try to sort out without an appointment.

Very poor school. Staff do not know how to handle situations which leads to massive problems. Student drug use issues.

Shocking School, rubbish GCSE results, went here for 2 years then left, in 1 year, 70 students left (in one year group) absolutely terrible authority, students mess around, headteacher is terrible and teachers are either horrible or very bad teachers!

I am a student at this school, the education is bad, the teachers are bad, the head teacher is bad, there's is so much bullying it's ridiculous. I hate this school so much. People threaten to bully you and beat you up. It's truly disgusting. I am also going to year 8 now, but the situation with it has gone so badly I'm changing school. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO GET YOUR CHILDREN INTO THIS SCHOOL! There has been many bad moments. The worst are online bullying and very strange sexual students as well. Many students are mentally unstable belive it or not. It is sad that after all this I just see them as stupid maggots. Really, please do not get your children in this school, even 7a is trash(topset)

I was at this school through to Yr 9 Only because i went to UTC. I have a history at aureus i will admit but when it came to dealing things they was not great. I have been sexually assualted at this school and all the kid got was a 1 day suspension. Only a few good teachers/staff. Ive been in fights and ive been punished more for self defence then the kid starting the fight. Way too many fights, Poor Manangement for anything. Still think that the head of behavior should be sacked etc. Toilets have no locks or doors infact. Some have cameras for filming into the people going in the bathroom. Found it creepy to be honest. Overall dont send your kids here.

Very poor communication and slow to respond to important queries. High staff turnover - the school appears to be struggling despite a reasonable catchment area. Not yet had Ofsted inspection - Covid deferred their first one. Has potential once the academy that runs it has proof of deficiencies.

The school needs major staffing improvements in my opinion. The maths department is seriously bad. Also the toilet blocks do not have doors, have cameras pointing in the block and the locks on stalls have been removed
