    Disgusted.

This is about school uniform and as to why youshouldn't go to this school. This school is a bad approach to behaviour and should be taken down immediately. First of all uniform is excepted to be best at all times which i get as you want ur students to be top tier then any other schools. At break and lunch everyone takes there blazers of and shirts untucked because they simply do not care as it is outside on the filed.Boys untuck there shirts and wear shorts and play football. As a former student of...

    Barking Abbey School

Barking Abbey School Our experience with Barking Abbey School has been deeply disappointing. One of the most troubling aspects has been the dishonesty and lack of integrity shown by the headteacher, which set the tone for an environment where parental concerns are neither respected nor fairly addressed. The governing body, rather than providing impartial oversight, has proven unsupportive and biased, making it extremely difficult for parents to seek fair treatment for their children. The schoo...

    This school hands our bullying!!!

My experience at Barking abbey was extremely the worst I've ever experienced.Ive moved to many schools in the past and yet Barking Abbey was the worst school I've been to.Bullying and harassment was the worst part of my experience. The school talks alot about online bullying and bullying in general but yet in real life they don't do nothing. For example if getting harrassed by another student online and you tell any teacher they will just give the student a warning but nothing else. Teachers and...

    bad school

I think this school is very unserious and especially about bullying. I was and I am still getting harassed by students that have continuously tried to physically attack me and my friend. They have posted bad pictures of me and have took pictures my body parts that were very revealing. Despite me telling members of staff about this no action has been made. I would not recommend sending your son/daughter to this school AT ALL. This doesn’t even deserve one star.

It's a decent school, probably one of the best in the borough

It's not as bad as people say it is

    Dangerous, Unsafe, Full Of Bullies

I was a student at this school from year 7 to year 10. I eventually had to leave due to severe bullying putting my life at risk which led to police telling my to stay home to keep myself safe. Students here were mainly awful and a lot of the teachers just as bad. The head of year when I was there was nasty. All throughout my bullying, even when I got physically assaulted, she did nothing. I was always told I was being dramatic. I ended up coming out as transgender and bisexual which led to extreme bullying to the point people threatened to end my life and cause severe harm to me with sexually violent threats through text message. Police were involved and the school was told however all the students got were warnings and I had to stay home for safety instead of them being removed so I could learn in school safely. Nope, I had to suffer. I became severely mentally unwell and was seeing camhs whilst in this school mainly due to the bullying I was going through which was creating extreme trauma. The school still didn't make a change. I was told off for time off school due to therapy appointments. Bullying was still allowed to happen. If I reported it, I was made to write a statement. Nothing came of that statement. Only a few teachers genuinely helped me and those were teachers in classes. Three of them helped me survive my time in that school. Without them I doubt I would have survived. I eventually left in year 10 due to extreme bullying leading me to attempt to end my life and I was put into hospital. I never went back however almost 4 years later I still suffer from long term psychological effects from that school. I have traumatic memories and flashbacks of the events that happened and the way teachers handled my situations. I still undergo intensive therapy to try and work through this trauma and I still struggle to keep myself safe in this world from those events. I will never forget barking abbey school and this is not for a good reason. Do not send your child here, I promise you it is not worth it and me and my friends who went here all collectively agree this school was traumatic and dangerous and very poorly managed. We wish we had never attended.
