bad school

I think this school is very unserious and especially about bullying. I was and I am still getting harassed by students that have continuously tried to physically attack me and my friend. They have posted bad pictures of me and have took pictures my body parts that were very revealing. Despite me telling members of staff about this no action has been made. I would not recommend sending your son/daughter to this school AT ALL. This doesn’t even deserve one star.

Dangerous, Unsafe, Full Of Bullies

I was a student at this school from year 7 to year 10. I eventually had to leave due to severe bullying putting my life at risk which led to police telling my to stay home to keep myself safe. Students here were mainly awful and a lot of the teachers just as bad. The head of year when I was there was nasty. All throughout my bullying, even when I got physically assaulted, she did nothing. I was always told I was being dramatic. I ended up coming out as transgender and bisexual which led to extreme bullying to the point people threatened to end my life and cause severe harm to me with sexually violent threats through text message. Police were involved and the school was told however all the students got were warnings and I had to stay home for safety instead of them being removed so I could learn in school safely. Nope, I had to suffer. I became severely mentally unwell and was seeing camhs whilst in this school mainly due to the bullying I was going through which was creating extreme trauma. The school still didn't make a change. I was told off for time off school due to therapy appointments. Bullying was still allowed to happen. If I reported it, I was made to write a statement. Nothing came of that statement. Only a few teachers genuinely helped me and those were teachers in classes. Three of them helped me survive my time in that school. Without them I doubt I would have survived. I eventually left in year 10 due to extreme bullying leading me to attempt to end my life and I was put into hospital. I never went back however almost 4 years later I still suffer from long term psychological effects from that school. I have traumatic memories and flashbacks of the events that happened and the way teachers handled my situations. I still undergo intensive therapy to try and work through this trauma and I still struggle to keep myself safe in this world from those events. I will never forget barking abbey school and this is not for a good reason. Do not send your child here, I promise you it is not worth it and me and my friends who went here all collectively agree this school was traumatic and dangerous and very poorly managed. We wish we had never attended.
