Bede academy changes
This school does not care about mental health, problems with anxiety and depression they will only care about visible disabilities not stuff like adhd autism and more they care more about if our blazers aren’t done up or are hair is in a hair clip (we’re not aloud them for some reason?) ive been excluded for drawing a heart on my hand once one tiny little heart it’s pathetic and stupid and I hate the fact that teachers can wear there hair down and we can’t? Like fair enough if we’re in engineering or pe and need it out of the way but when we’re sat in a French lesson or something! They never help me when I can’t read the work or understand it they just screem that they’ve went through it and I wasn’t lissening (I have dyslexia and learn slowly then others and sometimes I need teached a different way and if they can’t do that they shouldn’t be teachers there job is to help students? The teachers shout for no reason what so ever I rlly don’t get them! And even if I ask why there shouting at me they scream even more saying stop talking back (I’m a shy quiet fairly behaved child) the food is average but I just personally don’t like it, it’s plain and either under cooked or over cooked
Amazing!
I love the school so much and the teachers really care about your grades and make sure you do the best you can. I like the uniform as everyone matches and looks smart and also the teachers are all very supportive. I currently attend the sixth form and am so glad I chose to move here
Idek wtf this is
I go to this school. Its honestly terrible. Only some teachers are nice. They have high expectations to the point where they choose what you can do with your hair. They set homework everyday and expect it to be in the next day. The uniforms are so expensive I once paid 10 pound for a tie. The ruled are horrendous. They don't do much about your mental health so students with autism/anxiety/adhd they don't do anything about it. They only care about your grades. Terrible school shouldn't exist like.
absolutely horrible
absolutely horrible school. i personally left because teachers didn’t seem to care about mental health. i struggled a lot with past trauma that really affected me and all the teachers cared about was how i looked and how i presented there school, (saying things like “unroll your skirt and do your blazer before we talk about what’s bothering you”). there is so much pressure on young adults to conform to a religious/christian ethos. there is no support for people getting diagnosed with things but only for people with a diagnosis already. support plans could be written for anyone. welfare actually recommended to my mother that she moved my school for better support.
I didn’t enjoy my time
As a former student, Bede Academy scarred me, it made me feel unsafe and unvalued. “you are gifted for a purpose” yeah to be a testmonkey of all these schemes
toe licks school
ridiculous school forced my son to lick the floor and bite someone’s toe nails. Give a lot of work and have really high expectations and compare you to higher sets. Disgusting place definitely do not recommend coming to this school. Teachers are very strict and have a terrible dress code. Pathetic school!!!

Bede north and south is not the best
I did not have a good time here they don't Handel bullies very well very strict all u ever hear about is Christian stuff and I got told off for my hair cause it was too "individual" they really need to take a chill pill and relax some of the rules but I did leave before the new head teacher arrived also this school seems to be made of money so has a nice interior it is also a big school so u might get lost if u don't know the way around
Great school
This school is amazing. I went to Bede South since reception then moved up to Bede North which is even better! It is amazing. The staff are amazing, the dinner staff and meals are amazing I would like to specially mention Mr Moore from the dinner staff who is lovely. Thank you Bede academy!
