Too woke win award
Many great teachers but woke PSE lessons and assemblies, two-teir behaviour system, some staff turning a blind eye to vaping and crime because it's 'part of their culture' and many elements of the school are against Britain's values.
GCSE and A Levels
incredibly disappointing for 'middling' students
As a parent it has been crushing to watch my son become increasingly disillusioned with his school experience. the combination of teachers on long term sick without backfilling during critical periods in their education, the spotty attendance of other teachers and complete indifference to providing basic and consistent guidance has been really disappointing and I hope those involved read this, look inside themselves and vow to do better in the future. In hindsight I really wish we had moved school, even accounting for the learning curve in changing exam boards, when it was apparent what the levels of indifference of the teachers to teach were - before, during and after the pandemic knowing the support offered at other schools. I would recommend considering all other schools
Don't come here for your own safety
My friend attacked at this school and only about 5 members of staff tried to help her. They we doing way to much work and should of gotten payed way more. The fact that she got comments like.

"We may pick it up again"

The boy didn't even get punished. The school has swearing, drug use, vaping, smoking 1 or 2 teachers were sent to prison for drug and sexual behaviour, is just disgusting. They have a system called reflection and they just let the kids walk our because they are to scared to answer to the kids. Some kids even swear at the teachers. Don't to this school you will lose all your brain cells.

Adequate
Well I wouldn’t say it’s great but it isn’t bad either
some of the other reviews are a bit whacky
after reading some of the other reviews i’m shocked … someone even joked about it being bombed. the genuine ones point out that of you miss a day you miss a lot and are punished for it. there’s 50 new rules a day . teachers that are rude and disrespectful and expect us to treat them amazingly back. another person in the reviews said it was great i don’t really agree with that either. multiple people said to send you kids to john flamstead maybe that is a good idea
Decent
A lot of dodgy students. But overall, nice staff (bar a few) and decent facilities.

In page 26 of the science textbooks there is illustrated sex and someone drew an among us over the penis and called it "the great sus of 26" you cant make this stuff up

Wildest place on earth.
I went here from 2014-2019 and to say it was a ride and a half would be an understatement. I have plenty of good memories and bad memories here, as would happen. But this place just has an unmatched energy to the whole place.
From the no uniform to the use of first names for teachers, this place will match sure any person you talk to it about will never look at you the same. Belper School will never have normal problems. You miss one day and there will be a 50 new rules, a frankly brutal drama will start between two unrelated people, someone will now be a national treasure, someone else will now be hated by the state with several assassination attempts attempted against them and you'll still be expected to come in and know it all.
You will definitely find your people, regardless of being a far right extremist or a furry. You'll also find many teachers who will leave you a newer, sometimes better person. There are teachers there who are some of the most unhinged people you will ever meet, sometimes in the best ways possible... Sometimes not. By that I mean I had one teacher draw me a lil wonder woman saying "HONK" and another who would stand directly in front of your table as he shouted at you.
But yeah 10/10 I can take over an entire conversation with just my stories alone.

Unprofessional
I’ve absolutely hated it. The teachers do not care for disabilities or mental problems even in learning support. the no uniform and addressing teachers by their first name is a lack of respect and makes the school too freeing. they have no real rules and it’s a mess. The bullying here is tremendous and never sorted. I recommend John Flamsteed.
Don't go to Belper School
Where do I start? Belper School and Sixth Form Centre is like a prison. The food is worse than prison food. The staff members aren't very polite and act like prison guards. The Thots ruin it by acting like they're fit. They're plastic. Like barbie and ken dolls. After being in this prison for many years and I'm currently in Year 11. I have brain damage and cancer from the students who think they're so hard with their silly gestures and so cool with their fake clothing. I could go on but we'd be here forever. In conclusion don't send your kids to Belper School. Send them to John Flamstead. Much better than Belper School. Peace out and subscribe to Callums Corner.
