Benton Park School

Benton park school is a terrible school. When I go to school I dread going to certain lessons due to the shire disrespect if the staff, they don't help any students when they need additional help and they don't care about our metal or physical health, they would rather have us sit in a classroom in silence and suffer from things we can't say because we don't feel comfortable around them. On another point the lesson plans are inconsistent and teachers only care about getting through some slides then what we understand and what we are actually learning. Today in our newly made morning meetings we went over you're report and to no surprise they lied and blamed all of the issues on us. The lessons plans that you clearly complained about was said to be perfect and the only problem is student attendance and behaviour and then again I'm not saying that it isn't a problem but if teachers want students in school and to stop truenting then they need to start treating students with respect which they pretend to care so much about compassion then they should start treating students with what they expect. They have also been saying that bullying is at a low and once again it's a lie as all I see around that school is people getting picked on and the amount of fights that people get into is alarming. To round off this report I just want to say a lot of students would appreciate it if you talked to more students and ask for the full truth because they are begining to get scared of the teachers but if you asked any student what the think about benton park school they would say that it's a terrible school. The school could not care less about the students if they wanted to. Mental health takes the backseat to things such as wearing jewelry or the colour of socks. They won't do anything about your issues until a parent/carer contacts them and even then nothing seems to happen. Teachers have no respect for students yet expect to be treated with respect themselves. Teachers have said horrible things to students and get away with it, whilst the kid gets given an isolation, detention or relocation for minor issues

Mental health support for pupils is non existent…. Avoid!!!!

I have serious concerns about the student wellbeing support at this school. Staff treat pupils with very little respect in the way they talk to them. Borders on bullying. More concerned about the length of trousers and what type of socks they can wear. Not allowing children to go to the toilet when needed. Allowing bad behaviour, including physical and sexual assault, nothing is done to address this however will target the good kids and put into isolation for arbitrary reasons as they have no handle on the real issues. Currently considering moving my child to another school.
Avoid sending your child to this school.
