Bidborough Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. Whilst there are some nice teachers and hardworking support staff, this school has very poor safeguarding practice. They presented numerous highly inappropriate videos to my child at the age of 5-6, within collective worship materials, which contained three hundred and forty videos just for the first two years of my child’s attendance. This included explicit beheading and satan exhorting Jesus to throw himself off the rock in a name of God and much more. A year later, teacher presented dismembered bloody body parts in the YouTube video in the class causing major distress and nightmares to my child again. School has a toxic culture and heavily influences class WhatsApp groups and parents are therefore prevented to address concerns freely. Parents are either clueless or too afraid to speak up about what is really going on here.
Bidborough school doesn’t follow own policies, highlighting this to Governing Body lead to prompt change to the policies, not behaviour.
Wrap around care (WAC) is less than accommodating for working parents needs, only allowing to collect your child in the end of the booked session.
