Bideford college is bad
I am so annoyed by all the rules that's even in place since the new ceo has joined we used to have phones comfty shoes able to hold a pencil have a drink but now we can't have our phones have to wear wierd tight shoes can't hold a pencil or pen without being told to and can't drink without permission we can't have nails or jewellery even though it don't distract nobody because who is going to look at our nails or fingers if we're wearing rings or our arms if we're wearing bracelets and being sanctioned for the smallest things and being shouted at for the smallest things we can't even talk in lessons about work anymore as in a practical lesson (art) I was asking my friend for the paint as she had it and I simply said can I have the paint please and I got sent for it as it was "silent work" and everyone constantly gets told off or sanctioned and it's unfair towards us and we get told of for being in corridors during break and lunch like sorry but are we not aloud to walk around ? And if everyone was outside there would be barely any space for over 1,500 students all over and we can't eat indoors either like it's basic human rights to eat where we want and we can't go toilet during lessons due to valuable lesson time lost like we do this almost every day I think a few minutes in the toilet doing ur business won't hurt and if we need the toilet we always get told no you just had break time or your gonna have to wait till breaktime like I'm sorry but I don't think we can wait a hour or 2 just to use the toilet and if we don't have a pen or pencil or some part of the equipment we get shouted like we planned not to have a pen or pencil? I think the school needs to sort it's self out as so many parents and students are not happy with the school like I am we need a change at bideford college and rights for us as we're only kids and we need to learn things other than worrying about what colour nails we have what shoes were wearing or if our shirts are untucked

just wanted to share something that happened today. i have autism and today in english i was very overwhelmed and my teacher could very clearly see that. she came over, told me i was overreacting. i stormed out of the room crying and was given a sanction 2. all of my other teachers know i’m allowed to stand outside for five minutes when i get overwhelmed..?

My daughter used to like this school she had a great time in year 7 now she half way through year 8 Been bullied still getting bullied and the school don't do nothing about it I regret now writing how great this school was I'm looking in to moving her school or homeschooled her cos I had enough of her not going to school happy and she hates the school and she kicks up about going to school in the morning all cos the the bullies in this school it about time the school did something about the bullies

Absolutely terrible they only care about looks not education one teacher compared me to a singer who killed herself and was a dr*g dealer 😭 make u go on trips even if u can't afford it

This is so bad. I walked into school Monday morning and in greeting got told by my tutor that I was on a sanction 1 , she didn’t tell me why, so I asked. She said she didn’t know? I hadn’t done anything the week before hand. I had to sit in a silent room copying answers from a booklet for 2 and a half hours. It’s rediculous.

This school is honestly horrible. I have been going there for the past year and honestly the on,y good thing about it is the food. You can get in trouble,e for going under the table to get a pencil, which I'd honestly unfair. Right now we are in a heatwave and many pupils got sent home because of heatstroke because teachers made them do double pe. We aren't aloud to wear shorts or extra jewelry. I got sent to sanction one for the entire day for having the wrong shoes and they wouldn't find me a spare pair to wear when the offered multiple other people pairs. It is very clear that they have favoritism because me and my friend(who left a couple weeks ago because of this school) got sexually assaulted, told a teacher and she used his nickname and did nothing about it. When my dad went to thsi school, so quite a while ago, they made fun of his ADHD. This was ages ago, but is still something they do. Once a girl had a nose piercing, just done, and she couldn't go to lessons until she could take it out, so a couple weeks in a hall doing next ti nothing. There is only two 30 minute breaks, and the lunch line is so long, that sometimes people don't get a chance to eat. At the start of the year, we were pressured into joining atleast two clubs and all of them are pretty terrible. We are not taught about lgbtq+ enough, in order month we did one 10 minute assembly about it. That was it. They dint do anything about bullying as I was getting death threats and people saying they were going to beat me up and following me around school and home and school did nothing. They will give warnings for the stupidest reasons, like having your tie off, evenly you were just sorting it out. The uniform policy is very strict. I Don not recemond thus school too anyone.
bring back the school we love
at school its nice but we now have a no phone policy now all because some certain people choose to be stupid and search things up that lead on to bullying its unfair that all those kids who are making others life so bad kids are making it so we cant do anything I mean okay its bad and I can see where teachers are going with it but at the end of the day it isn't our fault the kids who do bully people should have there phones taken away and many people want Bideford college to be the best school and to some of you think its a prison its not bideford college is great we respect you a lot
What I think about my skl
Teachers aren’t really helpful and don’t understand even if they say they do. Only time teachers are useful are when there are fights. Some students can be very rude to other students. There are a few students who are racist and the teachers don’t do nothin about it. very bad place 0/10 recommend
Totally incompetent teachers!
Terrible school for dealing with bullying. I am not surprised by the very low ratings after experiencing a totally incompetent school! Almost everyone I know has had some sort of issue with bullying and has been dealt with by the worst teachers going. And so the bullying continues!! They should be ashamed of themselves considering the huge amounts of money that has been pumped into that school.

Very strict but fun to be at, maybe lengthen the time between lessons and there is a wide wrangle of subjects

I was a good student, but they only care for the grades you produce rather than your well-being. I had to leave due to how awful they were to myself and others.

An awful school
Being autistic, I left bideford college traumatised. There was absolutely no support for me as the staff only cared about grades. It was an awful and toxic place, I wish no one to have to go through what I did, but unfortunately I know many others that have.

Hello, first of all if you are thinking of taking your children to this prison... oh sorry, school please don’t. I when to this school for years 7,8,9 and 10. And it was the worst 4 years of my life. They don’t deal with bullying, they have very little resources for children with mental or physical challenges. They care more about their reputation and grades than the pupils. They have a terrible behaviour policy and a terrible uniform policy. Going to this school is like torture. Please do not take your children to Biddeford college, for their sake. Thank you.
