Birkenhead Park School

I’m a student at this school for three years. I’ve been racially harassed for my ethnic background, bullied and assaulted by a boy in outdoor court. I’ve been told to ‘change’ because I was wearing flared leggings because my skirt was in the wash and I didn’t have any trousers.. I was also reprimanded for painting my nails.. they were just French tips. I saw another student got yelled at because they had acrylic nails (hard plastic cured to the nail bed) and they had to RIP the nails off. Their nail beds broke, their fingers bled and they had to do work in ABSOLUTE AGONY! They weren’t given bandages or anything to stop the blood, instead they had to sit in the school on the verge of tears. Wishing to go home because the pain was unbearable.. I was bullied for how my eyes looked and I was called a slur for Chinese people. I don’t enjoy this school, this is a hellhole and a camp made for robots. Most teachers only express anger and frustration at the students.. I came home once with a fear of being disciplined until I was sent to a psychiatrist to get rid of my fear. I was also declined food in the canteen because I APPARENTLY didn’t have enough money, I had it topped up by my dad last night so I could have lunch.

My daughter has been going to this school for two years with NO bad attendance. She has 100% attendance on her school charter — but this school is HORRIBLE when it comes to bullying, harassment and have been ABSOLUTELY STRICT at implying their dress code rules to every student and those stupid Yondr pouches for phones — even if the students don’t have their phones they still have to bring it in and have to pay a fee of £25 for losing it?! And now every girl has to wear skirts?! UNBELIEVABLE! What if they have body dysphoria or scars they wish to cover up due to accidents, burns or traumatic injuries? What if they also wish to cover up their body in general? If they feel uncomfortable from GROWN MEN and TEENAGE BOYS staring! Teachers are horribly racist as well! As well as homophobic! One specific teacher said the n-word multiple times and the f-slur just because it was in a book and they didn’t ask if any of the kids feel comfortable with those certain racist and homophobic words being said in the class. It doesn’t justify that it was in a book, it doesn’t matter. I would also like to say, this specific French teacher has been mocking and being unnecessarily strict to students and even bullying them. Harassing them as well! It’s seriously unacceptable! My daughter is seriously stressed out from how the teachers and students are bullying her just because of her mannerisms and because of the traumatic experience she encountered after school a few days ago.. she couldn’t sleep at night because she kept having nightmares about it happening over, and over again. The teaching staff assumed that she stayed up all night playing video games even though I switch on parental controls at 10P.M so they go to sleep faster. She has no access to the Internet after 10.P.M sharp. Yet they still accuse her horribly of many things. She was also forced to change her leggings just because she didn’t wish to wear a skirt — SCHOOL RULES OR NOT, ITS CLEARLY A SICK IN THE HEAD FACIST SCHOOL. EVEN ONE OF THE STAFF GOT SACKED FOR INSULTING A TEACHER AND SAYING THIS SCHOOL IS A CONCENTRATION CAMP! AS A MIXED WOMAN I FEEL ATTACKED RACIALLY AND HISTORICALLY. THEY ALSO TRY TO HIDE HOW STRICT THEY ACT TO SCHOOL PUPILS WHEN VISITORS COME IN FOR INSPECTION. This school is literally one of the worst in Birkenhead. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE IF YOU WANT THEIR MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL STATE IN PERFECT CONDITION. The school also says the phone pouches are apart of ‘School Equipment’ they don’t even believe students when they say they don’t have a phone because they broke it, left it at home or something had happened to it. THEY ARE ALSO RACIST TO COLOURED PEOPLE!!! IT’S LIKE WHITE SUPREMACY AND HITLER AND THE NAZIS ALL OVER AGAIN. -5/5. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This school is terrible, First of all they do not care if your child is being bullied and they make the rules strict, No makeup allowed no gel nails no acrylic nails and no unnatural hair colors and also no trainers allowed unless if its for PE i get it if dying your all of your hair a hot pink color or blue color is distracting because it isn't a normal thing to see in school but gel nails and makeup? now i would not let my child go in with eyeshadow and black lipstick not even lipstick but why banning makeup and gel nails? why do teachers and the headteacher care if they are unhealthy? and how is it distracting? this is the parents option to decide if they can get gel nails or highlights not the teacher and they don't even care if your child is being bullied all they do is give them a 15 minute detention or put them in the loft for a few days then they go back to bullying and the strict teachers are rude i get it if the class is to loud or misbehaving but why is the class pure silent and every second a student gets called out, but even my child's friend got told off for smiling because someone else got told off do teachers not know that children and minor's are immature? they are CHILDREN not adults so why give them EIGHT pieces of homework already at Y7 this school his Honestly bad and my child was being bullied and even some teachers said some really bad 'jokes' that made her think about herself and cry never go to this school unless if you want your child's self esteem lowered and 12 pieces of homework at Y11 and the best teachers being sacked because they refused to stricken up to the children and also called the school a concentration camp which is literally what it is.

I have been going to this school for 3 years now, the staff are fun and friendly but with the amount of time they spend off we have little learning. The rules that have been put in place by the new headmaster are quite terrible and shouldn’t of been put in place. Overall most of the staff are great. Although all this, the leaders are not that helpful as they do not really help with issues like bullying. The school also needs to train some staff better as my clsss in particular is loud and can not stop talking for a good few teachers and substitutes.
