Old fashioned & badly managed

Very old fashioned school, head teacher gives the impression that she cant be bothered with anyone other than the vicar. The leadership team seem frightened of technology and anything invented in the last 20 years, hence very outdated resources and facilities throughout. I didn't see any investment in any area over the 8 years of being a parent at the school. It was a running joke the budget must have been spent on the amount of over time the head teacher was doing, but in all seriousness should have been challenged by the governors , especially as parts of the buiding needed reparing for safety, yet it never was!

Children leave bispham endowed and start high school way behind their peers from other primary schools, that was a big wake up call and I moved my two youngest after seeing how this school had failed my children. No decent oppotunities for sport or music either, they seem to just do the bear minimum they can get away with so they can tick a box to say they offer it. Terrible bullying policy which is to just to sweep problems under the carpet. Parents complain about it and the teachers try to be helpful, but as soon as it needs escalating to the head teacher, whos attitude that is bullying doesn't happen in bispham endowed and not to complain. Children can be phyically hurt by the same bully over again and parents are told it was just an accident.

There are plenty of other schools in the area where your children will be happy and in a good environment to learn. Bispham endowed is more like a badly managed organisation rather that a school. The good teachers are quick to leave and the dead wood stay on only because they are 'yes' people agreeing to the heads victorian ways, which says it all really. If you have a choice choose else where.
