This school is hell
I genuinely hate this school. It’s so bad and all they care about is giving out detentions and consequences. The teachers don’t try to get students they just shout at them like animals. They mostly care about how you are dressed in uniform and how you are behaving in class rather than if you actually understand or comfortable. I also would not recommend this school especially to people of colour as they are mostly targeted and also hugely discriminated by teachers and students and no action is ever taken. Bullying is also very common amongst students even teachers aswell. Do not send your kids here otherwise they’ll suffer from mental health problems. Before I moved to that school I was so happy but 2years into my education I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety which I still suffer from and this was not because of any life tragedies just Brinsworth Academy.the school is also really old and some blocks aren’t even safe for children.

Something has changed in the last 4-5 weeks, possibly something to do with the new head teacher.

Unfair mass detentions
Never had any issues with this school, but in the past 3/4 weeks. My very well behaved child has had detention after detention for extremely silly things and things completely out of there control. I want to remain anonymous so I won't mention them here as I feel they could be targeted by the staff. We have spoken to one of the teachers and received a very informal reply which just isn't good enough to justify the reason he's being held for detention yet again. This is a school not the Army! You're targeting the wrong pupils for the wrong things.
As for the star chart to rate the school, we have no information about what are child is doing at school, all the past parents evening slots were mostly taken, so each will have to have a low rating from what I've learned and seen.

Makes child feel like nothing okay education and learn
The uniform restrictions are really really strict and the school give the child anxiety and stress about everything and existence do not recommend do 😭
What I think
It’s a really good school however some teachers and experiences bring it down. The toilet situation is terrible and food isn’t the beat. The amount of support and how comfortable I feel seeking help is amazing. Some teachers really need looking at though.

It is such a bad school, Especially if you have issues with getting bullied.
