Do not come if you can help it it’s poor and there isn’t any good teachers anymore it used to be a really good school but not anymore we have a immigrant maths teacher who you can’t understand and in yr11 we don’t do any work in science and most teachers just have a go at you for nothing and shout in your face. I would not recommend this school one bit and I can not wait to leave I definitely won’t recommend this school to anyone else or will be telling them not to come
You get hours of homework a week and if you are even 1 minutes late you get an after school detention, the teachers are all horrible and the overall atmosphere is severely uncomfortable
Brymore is in desperate need of modernising, the standards of what is acceptable are incredibly old fashioned to the point I’m surprised they’ve not faced legal action in the past. Teachers cannot antagonise and belittle pupils to get them to do things they are not obligated to.
Additionally the school’s approach to bullying is a joke. It’s ridiculous to have the head teacher stand there on his little stage and tell everyone how the school doesn’t tolerate discrimination and then do nothing when students report it. I’m disgusted with the lack of responsibility taken when acting on this type of behaviour.
An amazing school for my son. He’s academic but also loves practical and has done woodwork, blacksmithing, worked on the farm and has a garden plot plus he’s predicted a 7 in English and maths! Great teachers and support staff with a friendly welcoming atmosphere and they all really care.
