Since s1 I was bullied relentlessly everytime I set foot in the school and all they did was stick me in the learning hub which was not what I needed.

I stayed off for multiple month bc of how bad the bullying got, im still incredibly behind on all of my work since they have done absolutely nothing with the bullying.

If you are even a tiny bit different students from all years will pick on you and most of the teachers are horrible one of the HE teachers was screaming at me for not wanting to take off my hoodie.

I’ve had teachers single me out bc I didn’t show up for months so when I went back my maths teacher would shout at me for doing any small thing and would use the excuse that I wasn’t at home doing nothing anymore I was at school and I need to get used to it.

Also the toilets are disgusting, my friend stated when she was up for her transition days she saw a used sanitary pad on the wall I’ve also seen feeces on the walls and floors of the toilets.

Teachers usually have favouritism towards the popular kids I’ve also been called slurs in front of teachers and they did nothing, my friend with ADHD (the same one who found the pad) was having trouble understanding an a assignment in English and asked for a better explanation the teacher did nothing but explain it the exact same way and then got my friend into trouble for not doing the work keep in mind my friend isn’t even a student she was up for her transition days.

This “school” should be shut down it is an absolute shit hole where everyone is horrible I have basically no skills in half of my classes since I couldn’t come in without the teachers or students picking on me please just send them anywhere else.

School is shocking, kids vaping and smoking weed in school. Bullying is horrendous. If you want you kid to have the worse experience of high school. Send them to carnoustie high. Teachers do nothing about it.

Very bad school, senior management don’t do anything about bullying.

Ableist Maths Teacher openly singles out students with learning difficulties and autism before the class to purposefully embarrass them. Refuses to allow them to have special consideration such as extra time when undertaking tests which breaks the disability rights act of 2012.

When taken to the headteacher, she refused to address the situation by playing down the seriousness of the accusations despite being from multiple pupils. Additionally, all toilets access within the school is denied apart from a few disabled toilets with a minimum of one of each floor of the school. This has caused several issues, in-particular the affect it is having on teenage girls starting their periods. There are several complains been made to the pupil council and various department heads throughout the school of girls being denied access to a bathroom (due to them all being locked) for a private space within which to change sanitary products and instead forcing them to wait in the corridor in a large queue for one of the 8 toilets available. It should be made aware that the school has at present (Aug 2022) 821 pupils, more than half of whom are girls!!

Due to the determination of the pupil council these issues have been brought to light on several occasions, with them having scheduled meetings with the principle teacher (Mrs Susan Moffatt). However, nothing has been done about the situation as the head refuses to take it further stating that toilets are available for use throughout the school and that if the pupils (teenage girls) were to openly ask for permission to use one of the emergency toilets then access would be granted. Thus denying culpability and swiftly placing the blame on the pupils themselves, essentially claiming that it is their responsibility to seek toilets when needed (such as changing sanitary products) despite the fact that it was the school who made the choice to lock the male and female bathrooms throughout the school day.

I am an extremely concerned older brother who graduated from the school 3 years ago. I worry about my two younger siblings in the school whom both suffer learning difficulties (autism and dyslexia) and one of whom faces battling an eating disorder on a daily basis. The lack of support in the school now compared to when I was there is APPALLING! Of the many issues within the school (only two of which have been mentioned), the ones that are in my opinion (and the opinion of the general community) the most serious, are the ones which are seemingly impossible to put right. This being due to the way the school is run starting with the new head and her turn-the-other-cheek way of 'resolving' issues. A sweep-it-under-the-rug mentality.

Absolute shambles of a school, always has been, teachers are bullies, well most are anyway, never get the help you need when asked, the place is an absolute dive! Sometimes feel sorry for the cleaners with half the mess they have to deal with, students pretty much are same as teachers & are very disrespectful & the language coming out their mouths is appalling! Place is just one big joke..
It will never change, head teacher thinks she's something special, but shes not, can't even do her job & gets her minions to fuck up her jobs for her! Place needs demolished & kids need sent to a proper school, with proper education..
100% worst school within the whole of the UK - hands down!!

Horrible. Go somewhere else. Bew head teacher is satting rukes that dont make sense. Toilets are locked and you need to wait in a huge line to go to the toilet. Teachers dont care about pupils and only care about getting their job done. Even teachers that care just hand your problems to another teacher. If you go to the teacher about mental health they lie on your report and say things you havent even said. School needs help. Lots of it.

A quote coming from the head this week (paraphrasing obviously) “I care more about the school’s reputation and name rather than the students”. If you’re shy and at this school, don’t bother trying to come out your shell as they just treat it as “aggressive and unacceptable behaviour”. No study leave granted to the senior students this year for no reason whatsoever. Not sure if other schools do tracking reports but here does and makes you feel dreadful about exams if you’re not getting it even though they give them out every month of the year essentially. Been at the school a fair while now and they claim to be a positive school that moves with the times but really they inflict far too much stress on every, single pupil. One more cherry on the cake, they assign a teacher which has evidently never even heard of football nevermind watched it to “manage” the football team. They set up trials just for the team to already be decided before said trials and the “manager” left the trials after 5 minutes in after seeing who’s fast and who can do a step over the cleanest. However you use this review, whether you’re moving into this area for example, steer clear, steer very very clear, go to monifieth, go to Arbroath, that’s how awful this place is, I’d leave in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for the social aspect of school in general.

Just why does this exist, like 10% of teachers are actually nice and teach you, whole system is a joke.

I enjoy the teaching environment, however bullying isn’t dealt with effectively

Teachers are bad, there is a very poor quality of learning and they care little about their students only about their reputation. Bullying is rampant and nothing is done about it, kids get battered and all you’ll get for it is a detention.
