This school

They don't take adequate action to bullying and let's the bullies get away with anything. Don't care about wellbeing and just send you back to your lessons. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE!!

Great

The mental health team was not great but other than that it was all good in my opinion, at one point an incident happened in the changing room with someone almost jumping me and I wasn't gonna report it but the teachers did it for me which meant a lot.
Honestly I got more help relating my mental health problems from one of the teachers rather than the people that were paid to do so which also meant a lot. You know like showing how some teachers are there to not only teach but help students individually with whatever they can which is just so sweet bless them.
I didn't have a lot of friends and I hated most people but it didn't really matter for me as I was just trying to learn even tho I didn't get extraordinary grades.
The food was bad tho- idk about now but even if I did have free school meals I would bring my own lunch most days.
I love how they made gender neutral toilets but hate the fact that they got rid of the mirrors, unnecessary in my opinion.
Got the support I needed from my teachers, would definitely send my daughter here in the future.

Insufferable place, would not recommend!

Alright, let's get the truth out there. This is one of the WORST schools in the area! Little to no support for anyone who gets bullied or is having mental health difficulties, consequences handed out like sweets on Halloween for literally no reason, Canteen food that can be compared to literal plastic and staff that I'd wonder how their kids are treated as they barely pay attention to anybody. You could be having a literal emotional breakdown, sobbing to yourself on a bench with nobody around and not one teacher would bat an eye at you and carry on with their life, unfairly punishing people for literally nothing while their peers misbehave and get away with it. If, by chance, you do get bullied by anybody, the 'R & R' will just say "Oh, KeEp AwAy FrOm ThEm" like it will make your problems better. This is a sorry attempt at a Secondary School and I feel sorry for anyone who's just joined this school, prepare for 4 Whole years of torment and despair as you try to mentally recover from the hellhole that is here!

Castle Manor Academy

I am a current student at Castle Manor Academy and there has been ups and downs. A lot of students suffer with mental health at my school, me being one of them, and as a student, I feel the amount of help you receive is not adequate. There are gender-neutral toilets but they still are coloured blue and a pinky colour which still creates an area of confusion. It is a good school but I feel like there are a few things that need to be improved.

This place needs improvement

Firstly the school has a FEW good teachers that actually make being in school fun. However its severally overshadowed by the other teachers. They cannot teach in a manner which tailors to the needs of all the students. Making them copy paragraph after paragraph of nonsense on the whiteboards into there books is not how you TEACH. It makes learning incredibly boring which leads to a lack of focus with the students. The consequence system is ridiculous. Its causes the lesson to be disrupted for up to 10 minutes a because student A wasnt sitting up straight (HOW DARE HE). The consequence system does the exact this it's there to stop... lesson disruptions. If the student is disrupting the lesson they should just be ordered out of the classroom. Theres way more that I'd like to talk about but I just cba. Dont subject your kids to misery at this pathetic school.

Castle Manor Review

Poor mental health/special needs help. Received some help, thry tired but not hard enough- they arent fully to blame, there are other factors. Some teachers were great through. Teaching is good, it's just the students being disruptive, but that's expected in any school really. My friend was trans, I believe there wasn't enough done about the bullying they received. I believe it is great how i aheard they have some gender neutral toliets now, but they are open ones. I wouldn't feel comfortable using open toliets.
I cant say its all bad, i did spend 5 years of my life there and there are some happy memories. I am only one experience, other people have had better experiences at this school.

castle manor 😎

I know other people’s opinions vary for this school but for me, i’ve made the best memories here. For the most part, the teachers here are very nice and can have a laugh. Being here for five years, I have seen so much improvement of how the school deals with bullying, attendance, behaviour, etc.. Of course there are some downfalls, but don’t any school. Doing online learning has been super tough but the teachers are so supportive and helpful, and that really brings my mood up.

Great school

Where I am in year 11 it is good for revision and it is time to be selfish.
