the whole is acceptable somewhat for neurotypical children . However we felt the sen unit was basically a babysitting unit. There was no advancement educationally while they stayed in the unit. The child ended up with more behavioural issues due to the unit and was regularly injured (Which happens with children with behavioural problems) however none of the teachers ever witnessed this happening or played it down as self harm. Referrals were requested regularly in order to get the child support but the senco never made the referrals. She also never did any of the recommendations given by services such as ed psychology and so forth. I would be very cautious attending this school if your child has additional needs. We are not the only ones who have had issues.
