Racism

This educational platform doesn’t even deserve this ‘one-star’ rating. In this modern generation, it is purely embarrassing to know that they are conducting such racist behaviour, especially towards the training staff members. It is meant to be a place for our future generations to be brought up surrounded by knowledge and trained to be well-mannered citizens. The sad truth, it is known to have racist behaviour among the kids in school or any educational environment but the staff, who are meant to be a role model for these kids are purely just embarrassing. Such members should not even be working in such institutions. My friend was a trainee staff member at this high school and she’s been targeted since the start of her placement year by her subject mentor. As for someone new to this society and environment, she should have been supporting the trainee and mentoring her down the right pathway but instead, she brought orthodox racial perspectives onto her due to them being the opposite ethnic group. The torture included a heavy workload from the start, no free lessons, racial comments and much more. She even suggested to her to ‘Go back to her country’ and with all due respect, no one including her mentor has the right to tell her to go back to where she came from as it is a basic common human manner. Even when she complained against her mentor to her professional mentor, no actions were taken which shows how careless the school views racist behaviour. Therefore, anyone considering sending their children or working at this school I suggest you don’t! This is not an environment anyone would want to be in or to be a part of. No further comments are to be said but just hugely disappointed in this whole institution as it’s still an ongoing issue.

STAY AWAY FROM THE LIBRARY

Miss alison bond (the school librarian) is officially the worst thing that has ever happened to this school. Firstly, she has favorites who get out of anything. If you are a student librarian she will favor you over other students. The other day me and my friends were sitting on a row of seats near the librarians desk and we got told to leave as those seats were for librarians only like since when? Also, only certain school years can access the library on certain days which is an absolute scam. Like I'm sorry my homework is due on Thursday and that isnt my day. My friend who is in y10 tried to fill out a librarian application form but got immediately rejected as she was a y10. That does not make any sense the library application forms say you can apply if you are in y8 or older. Another one of alison bonds ridiculous rules. She acts like the library is her house when it aint. Alison is also too strict about eating or drinking like chill I aint gonna spill my coke all over the librarys computers. You also get falsely accused of doing stuff like eating in the library when you arent. I KNOW THIS IS A LONG REVIEW BUT STAY AWAY FROM THE LIBRARY WHATEVER YOU DO

Good school, quite strict

Good school would recommend for children who are naturally quiet, Good resources and a student support centre however food is unhealthy but nice and VERY strict about uniform and pretty much everything.

Children are a Burden to them.

My son was recently thrown out of this school. He has additional needs and was under the SEND also.
Please think twice about sending your children to this school if the require any form of addtional help.
They can't, won't, don't help them in any way. Our kids are seen as a burden to them. As a father, I wish I'd never sent him here, where he is now, they are fantastic. Puts this school to shame.
The local school for alternative education is 3/4 full of children from this school.
Really bad.

Bad news

If you want a mechanical robot as a child, then go for it. This school give out sanctions, detentions and punishments a dog trainer gives treats! No talking, no smiling, no laughing and my god don't ask to use the toilet? The name calling, the put down, the stripping of confidence... and thats just some of the teachers.
Please, unless your child is naturally quiet, is a natural high achiever and will keep this schools table position up, look elsewhere! Alternative schooling all the way.

Don’t bother

If you child is the perfect well behaved child getting high exam results, then the school will love your child. If not expect the teacher’s bullying and name calling your child.
