Ok for some students. Students who are confident do well. Some students achieve high levels at primary but fail or do less well at VHS because support isnt in place from the start.

About mental health + problems in the school
Teachers dont care about mental health, bad place to go if you struggle with that, i struggled with my mental health and they still put me through absolute hell even considering what i went through, teachers are horrible at sorting problems out maturely, if theres problems going on between 2 pupils they dont do anything about it until the 2 students finally fight, its basically like reporting a robbery to the police and they say "Oh just come back when hes robbed the bank."

Shit school kicked me out on the first day
Shit school beat up and stabbed up l2 then got kicked out then i killed my teacher and they were suprised started waffling switched me over to macademy then killed everyone went jail here i am
What chorlton high is all about!
Absolutely amazed with this school! It blew my head off how good it was I have just left and I'm going to miss the place. Great facilities, really nice food and nice teachers who go through the subject in alot of detail. I really recommend going!

Well it was okay in my time there, yet has got a LOT worse. They have 4 bathrooms for the entire school or 1500 kids, and those 4 bathrooms are only available during lunch, which is 30mins long. The higher ups got lazy after lockdown and gave up, screwing over the kids there. While Mr Vass is the best teacher I have ever seen or known, he cannot save the school from its pathetic fall from grace. Do not send your kids here.

A nice school, good music and drama department. Has a theatre, well a stage. The food is good but not great. MFL is not taught incredibly but good enough to be satisfactory. Great school

Avoid!
Absolutely awful school. Teachers are so unhelpful and blatantly don’t care about the students. One even said in the first lesson of the year “I’m not paid to care about you, or even like you. I am only paid to get you through the year” lovely!! They also refuse to accept bullying goes on at the school.

I overall had a good enough time. You’ll get through highschool here fine as long as you don’t have any problems. The team who helps students with personal issues is absolutely terrible. They don’t do anything when people complain of sexual assault, abuse at home etc.

Heres a few stories from my time at chs.
The teachers suck up to popular kids, i was extremely bullied in my first month of this school, there was little action taken from the start but it never got better, the ones targetting me were stuck up loud kids. In year 8 i was assaulted physically by a group of people in my year, they had assumed i had created a “tiktok drama account” smash talking them, as i was already a bullied person, all it took was a “it was (my name)” for everyone to believe it. i told 2 teachers (one being my head of year) as normally you’re supposed to do, they answered “just go, will you? cant you see we’re talking?” i had to hide behind them while they walked away, leaving me with an aim at my head. i then went up to the science corridor where i tried to explain why i was up there during lunch, they yelled at me and told me to go down and that they dont care. and wouldnt let me call my trusted guardians.
i suffer with endometriosis, i was in pain and i couldnt walk, a couple teachers even female ones saw my struggle and told me to go to student services or my head of year, which i was handed pads. literally just pads and was told to go back to my lesson and that theres only 2 hours left. when i refused, i was yelled at and was given 1 hour isolation by a male teacher. dodged it a few times until they physically picked me up from lesson, locked every door and forced me into the isolation room.
not to mention they do nothing about revenge p*rn and they believe it should stay out of school even tho their students are the ones who shared it.
this school is terrible if youre not popular, thank me later parents!
