Finally getting to remove my child. THANK GOD. I have been gas lit by this school for years, they take no accountability for anything and just blame the parents, ask you to come to meetings to discuss your child, threaten you, manipulate you, shame you as a parent and don't speak about your child at all! Refuse to paper trail anything, even if you ask for email reports, you won't ever recieve them,
Every teacher is spread across 3 schools, infants, primary and heartsease! Including the senco and safe guarding!!! So 50% of the time pur children are not protected.
You're told you cannot speak to anyone at the school unless it's your childs class teacher, I was told not to speak to other parents! They tried to silence me! And take away my freedom of speech!
Teachers will tell you information and then when you question it, Gaslite you into believing youre lying!
No complaints procedure within the school is taken seriously, it's you that's the problem never the staff!
They are a business, not a school. They don't care about the children, they care about their image.
Not so good in recent months/post COVID....
Communication, ability to see ' children-in-action' (yesterday was the exception). With my older three grandchildren, grandparents' were welcome and valued toooo.
The behaviour of a few teachers', leaves a bit to be desired... . Lack of empathy with their students....
I hope I may understand just, how hard ones' vocation maybe...
I undertook teacher training, have experience, as a Primary School Governor within The 'Golden Triangle', have 'run' a'pre-school' and have had three generations of teachers' within my family over the past 60 years. Currently two of my immediate family are teachers' of 'plus twenty years' standing....
Your influence over your students' is profound.
Return after a 'Happy Christmas', refreshed and ready for the challenges of 2024, please....
This school is filthy dirty, highly unorganised - no proper systems in place for basic things........teaching support staff are treated with such disrespect & inequality & are highly exploited......classrooms are tiny - not enough room for 30 children, meaning children are in confined spaces.....classrooms are not fit for purpose.........no proper ventilation.......etc, etc.........
My experience at Colman Junior School has been outstanding. It has a brilliant environment with fun lessons, kind teachers, great activities and nice school meals. Overall a brilliant primary school, I would totally recommend to people!
