0 stars is not possible

I attended CCC and was treated like I wasn't human. The teachers made me feel like a scapegoat and the bullying resulted in the worst mental state I have ever experienced resulting in multiple attempts to take my own life. I have since been through anti-depressant, anti-anxiety medication, therapy and a diagnosis of post traumatic stress disorder. I cant even think of this place without extreme anger at how i was left. Multiple suicides from students. not a care about preventing bullying or enforcing rules. the staff (with the exception of very few) are horrible. If you care for your children DO NOT send them here

Are you teachers on Commission for every detention given out?

This school issues after school detentions to year 7’s that have only been at the school for 7 school days for lateness to lessons even thou there still learning how to navigate this massive alien environment and instead of trying to engage with pupils to see how this is happening they instead punish them and offer no grace period for there first few weeks at ‘big school’. shame on you cullumpton

Similar to all schools in the local area

All schools in this area are the same
Tiverton, Cullompton and Uffculme are all the same, all with horrible teachers who don't care and violent kids who fight every day and vape. All schools have broken buildings and to be honest, no one of these 3 are better than the other or vice versa
Don't feel that you will be better or worse off elsewhere, you're not.
If you want to go to a good school, be prepared to leave the area.

my experiences

When I joined the school in year 7 it was very good. However, i have found since that the school has declined rapidly. no support is provided with mental health, many other students are very ill behaved its unreal. The school focus on the stupidest things ever such as banning white socks and stopping individulality. Overall, would not recommend.

Really bad te teachers do nothing when it comes to bullying they just sit and watch it happen.Like some kid choked another kid againsted the wall from their neck infront of three teachers and it was in the SEN room.I'm a person with needs so i am mostly in the SEN room and honstly it's like a war going in there people throwig and shouting at eachother.Like one time i almost got hit by a stapler. They mostly help the ones that don't need as much help as others. The food is bad since one time i found a finger nail in my food one time. The prices are not cheap like £1.55 for a bottle of water.Lots of fights happen it's pretty much coming to a point when it's normal, somtimes some people will have blood on them it gets that bad.I have ptsd and trauma from past experiments and coming to CCC was the worst choice of my life. And now because of the school i suffer from stress Tourette's.I'm just glad that i have left the school. And just a quick reminder for those that are planning on going there do NOT go there it will not do anything good for you.I hope this reaches out and i can help some people from avoiding that school.

Not good.

This school has bad support when it comes to mental health. The support system is okay but only when serious problems occur. Homophobia and transphobia are not well delt with. I personally have had many accounts of this and the school haven't done anything. The teaching is good but people with learning disabilities don't get as much support as they need and due to this their grades suffer. Some r eachers favour certain students as they're "funny" but outright embarrass and point out everything wrong a student they don't like has done and mocks them in front of other students. The uniform policy is taken too strictly and the punishments for simply having jewellery (which does not effect your learning) are not suitable and unneeded. This school is unable to accept the fact some students suffer and can become unmotivated and uncomfortable in many situations and do not take this as a valid excuse to not do homework or to take a step out of class. I understand this cant constantly happen but even if it is a one time event they are unwilling to accept that as a reason.

Horrible and I wish I went to another one

This school focuses more on the younger students and favourites the special needs.Several students dont even need help and get special treatment. They allow racist and offensive behaviour to happen. It is not a very good school and I wish I went to another one.

Good mental support, not great academically

Handle bullying pretty well but not great teaching. When I transferred to CCC I went up a set and I used to think that was because my old school incorrectly put me in a lower set, but I got GCSE grades lower than my friends from my previous school in lower sets.
