Dene Magna School

I go to this school l love it but they have there ups and downs I love it there it’s just some students are horrible and the teachers don’t do anything

Just an awful school, my son went here, he is a year 7, he absoloutely hates it, the P.E. teachers (boys) are just mean old souls, he told me that they do really hard maths in Year 7, and the english is trash, this school needs to be shut down, its not safe for kids, hes even been bullied by Year 11s

I’ve only started going there a few weeks ago my name is ash and I’m a year 11 and I would like to know what the school is like

it’s a brilliant school, unless you’re academically gifted. the focus is completely on those who aren’t and improving their progress rather than challenging the top students. maths block is very nice + comfortable but some of the main block and one of the science rooms are showing their age. good library though. teachers are very hit and miss, had some exceptional ones throughout the last few years but also some dreadful teachers. bullying never really seems to get handled and the school constantly preach about mental health awareness yet certain teachers overload us with homework and can’t understand the importance of having a social life (especially post-covid). wilson house staff are useless. everything is made out to be the students fault and quite frankly they cannot be bothered to do anything that requires more than sending an email. other house staff are brilliant and will do anything to ensure your mental and physical wellbeing is okay. the headteacher is excellent too, and no problem is too big / small. very approachable too

its a good school but if ur academically good to start with they just kind of forget about u. way more focus on 'progress' some teachers cant really be bothered, most are fine but theres a couple exceptional ones
