I regret going to this school for sixth form studies between 2002-2005. I was given mediocre subjects A Levels at A Levels taught by low-quality 'supply' teachers (at best) that are grifting and coasting for the weekly paycheck. This school ruined my chances of getting into a Russell Group university or getting a rewarding professional career. The majority of students (including junior students of years 7-11) are rude, ill-manner, bigoted, sexist, temperamental, and closet-hypocrites, and probably raised by feckless parents, junk food, drugs, booze, rap music and reality tv shows, . The headteacher, at the time (P. Singh), should never have been given a Knighthood, for running a mediocre school, and his Knighthood should be removed immediately. There are better schools with better GCSE/A Level results than Drayton Manor, e.g. William Perkins, Elthorne, Cardinal Wiseman, Twyford, Ealing Fields, Ada Lovelace (search and find 'Compare school and college performance in England' via Gov.uk').
Great school. I have good relationships with staff and I’m in Year 11 this year. We are getting lots of extra support which I’m grateful for as I’m going to need it after all the lockdowns.
This school is lovely purely because of some of the teachers who teach here. You may believe that this is a high end school to go to. However, if you want not to be annoyed by the members of SLT or chased down if you want one sick day, this is not the school for you. Furthermore, the behaviour policy is not acceptable as it has become too strict in the past year and a half. I get that the past few years have been tough but the pressure that is being putt on some of the older students to get good grades has reached it’s limits.I do not have any knowledge of the sixth form ,regrettably, here but if they treat 16-18 year olds the same as literal children aged 11 i dont think you would be too pleased. I will have to end my review here as if i continue i will not be able to compost myself any longer. Thank you for reading, have a pleasant day/night
