E-Act Royton and Crompton Academy

Given that in April 2023, this school was rated inadequate, for the main area that's important to a school, which is teaching. The school is run like a military camp, more of a dictatorship, than a nurturing educational facility. The emphasis is put on students and their failings to comply with standards rather than the school willingness to accept poor teaching standards due to their inability to provide high teaching standards due to this. Main subjects such as maths, science, and English seem to have a high level of supply staff, which negatively impacts students educational experiences. The reception staff do not answer calls. It's very rare if they pick up a call, so if your worried about your child. You would struggle to communicate quickly and effectively with this school. They don' t want to know. I'm sure there is a very small percentage of excellent teachers who try their best to teach to an high standard, and are passionate about making a difference and positive impact to the students. However there seems to be an higher majority of staff who are just there for a paycheck, but the passion is none existent, this is reflected by the poor teaching standards.

Most teachers don't teach properly they just read off of a PowerPoint, I only like one teacher in the school and they manage to make my favourite lessons boring, favouriting students.

It’s horrible, favouritism’s students, sometimes don’t let u eat all day wig your in isolations, foods not that nice anymore, you’ll probably find ur name on the wall in cubicles, doesn’t believe you when u call off Sick with doctor proof, teachings good tho.

Not once did I have a good day at school, we constantly had supply teachers, the mental health support was nonexistent, they dealt with drama terribly. I think I had two teachers that actually taught me things, the rest just struggled to deal with the class.
