Edith Cavell Primary School

Terrible school. Severe lack of funding and facilities for the children. School will tell children an event can happen such as a workshop/trip etc but will say it is providing all parents pay up and donate the costs. If not enough parents do so they will literally cancel on the children. Very sad. Head teacher very stand off ish, let’s staff run wild and doesn’t take complaints seriously. Parking is a nightmare. Lunch is AWFUL no 2 or 3 week rota like most schools just the same menu weekly, don’t think they get real dessert either just fruit and yoghurt. Just overall really bad would never recommend. Teaching staff poor, inexperienced and unprofessional. I would not risk sending children here. Should be a lot lower Ofsted report than they have

Honestly a very very poor school. I would definitely not recommend to anyone. Poor teaching ability, severe lack of school facilities and budget. School will literally promise the children a workshop on the grounds enough parents pay for it, if not enough parents do they will cancel the event on the kids. Headteacher seems to let her staff run wild and doesn’t care when parents complain. School lunches absolutely awful, lack of option just the same weekly menu no rotation of week (however the menu given has a 3 week rotation but once actually a student they’ll just get the same options weekly. To be honest I couldn’t give it a lower school. I removed my child last year and they are so much happier and gaining so much more of an education elsewhere, the best thing I ever done was leave Edith cavell.
