    This should be shut down,

This was a bad school, people get told off and detentions for NO REASON! I am so pissed at this and I’m looking to move to another school.

    Issues

My friend son was moved form for something he didn’t do he didn’t get a say in what he did and he was unhappy in his new form and the teachers didn’t care. But overall the school is a really good school.

    don’t go

I wouldn’t recommend going to this school from the bullying to the homophobic comments and none of it being felt with correctly. The school was a decent school with the old headmaster however as a new one took over everything went down hill. The canteen prices are absolutely terrible. As a old student who just left I am glad I didn’t stay for the sixth form as I couldn’t imagine the stress I would be put through as all throughout year 11 the teachers stressed us a lot, this now puts there sixth form as underpopulated. I would avoid sending your child to English martyrs at all costs. I didn’t develop as a student as much as I would of wished and I could of achieved higher with more help and support from my teachers however just before GCSE exams if we mentioned to the teacher (mostly math or English department) that we didn’t understand the work we would be told that “it’s too late to learn” or that “we should of been listening”. I also realised early on durning year 8 that if there was any arguments happening the teachers would most likely take the child’s side where the parent had rang in to satisfy the parent even if there child is in the wrong. They need to sort them self out before it’s too late.

    Bullying experience

This school overall is very good but when it comes to handling bullying it can take up to a month or 2 and it is handled by your head of year or atleast in my experience there.
