Horrible school
This place is HELL, I left here this year (2025) after long hellish 5 years, BULLYING is rife and they don’t care for it, staff are extremely rude and you can tell they don’t want to do their job, this place is so horrible, they give detentions for the stupidest reasons, I tried to move schools and they lost the form I had to give to tell them I was leaving, you can tell none of them want to do their jobs I was being bullied by this one boy and I went to my head of year Miss Colborne and I told her I was being bullied and I’ve been being bullied by him for five years and I’ve told every single teacher I can and they’ve done absolutely nothing. My mom has called the school texted like everyone that she can emailed to the school about everything and I told her that I was being bullied and she just completely yelled at me and she was like why didn’t you tell me this earlier and I was saying oh you weren’t my head of year at the time and she’s a very horrible woman and the school lies when they say parents beg for their children to be in the school the school is absolute hell a girl had killed herself in the school because of bullying and yet all the school did was put up mental health posters knowing very well they aren’t gonna do anything if your child has mental health problems I hated everything to do with this school the school was the definition of hell I had harmed myself because of the bullying it took me two years to recover, children there are vile and horrible The school is classed as an amazing school via ofsted but they only say that because the school drums it into the students head to be on their best behaviour and when they are touring the school to write a report on the school they will refuse kids entering bathrooms even if they have IBS or any other bowel syndromes and when people come in to write reports on the school when they answer classrooms teachers will immediately switch up their act because they know they’re gonna come into the classroom and be as nice as they can and it’s a horrible school you can talk to literally anyone that went to the school that School is absolute hell, especially for children who are neurodivergent or have mental health issues I hated my time at the school. They don’t teach you anything. If you need help they will shout at you. I hate this school. Please don’t send your kids to the school if you want them to do well and their mental health to be stable

BULLYING
My daughter left Fairfax about a year ago, I’d sent her there as I’d seen good reviews online, and we live not far away. I’d hoped that it’d be a fresh start as we had to move houses due to a rough neighbourhood. I thought maybe the children and teachers would be better, but I was wrong.
The teachers barely do anything except consequence, but there are some nice ones she said. From my daughter’s experience, the students are appalling. The bullying is DISGUSTING. No tolerance, they say, yet they let them get away with it EVERY SINGLE TIME!! So much to the point that my daughter began to harm herself because she couldn’t do anything about it. I rang up, emailed, went down to the school and somehow they’d always find a way to say it’s her fault. Nothing done. Honestly, DO NOT send your child here, unless you want them to end up locking themselves away forever and gaining mental health problems from the vile bullying. It’s disgusting. This school claims to care about the welfare of their students but not once have they ever been there for my child, if anything they blamed her for what was happening. The teachers stick up for the bullies because they’d rather let the children suffer than deal with the hassle of angry and distraught parents, they would always find an ‘excuse’ for why the bullies are doing what they are doing, but there were no excuses. Please, from a parent who had a child that was constantly struggling with being at Fairfax, DO NOT send them. THEY WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP THEM, THEY DO NOT CARE.

Amazing school- experiance as a student
I just started in Y9 of Fairfax. I dont know much about the school prior to Mr Castle since we started at the school the same time. But i can asure the schhol is amazing. great support, great teachers, work, CCTV and saftey. Students get consquenced accordingly and sanctions. Great support for mental health and disabilitys both physically and mentally. Very inclusive of race/ religion/ sexuality/ gender. more oppotunitys such as trips to Germany, France, Wales and ski trips. Many compotions for many subjects and sports. Eistedford is a yearly proformance which is always fun to watch. Do a lot of proformances for those who sign up, Shakespere, Grease ect. as a whole the school layout is amazing, its not one massive block so its hard to get lost since every block is unique. A very well mantanced school and friendly, understanding teachers. i wasnt the best student in Y7 but looking back, the way they handled situtions were superbe. Mr Castle is the ideal head teacher, were lucky to have him as he thrives to improve the school by miles.

Fairrax is the worst school ever
I started fairfax in year 8 and I was there for 6 weeks before deciding I couldn’t handle it anymore, the students are extremely rude and violent, and the staff treat you terribly. I got a detention on my first day because I didn’t complete the English work but I wasn’t there when they discussed the topic so I didn’t know where to start. And the staff are terrible at sorting out issues involving bullying, I was threatened online and in school and no one did anything to help and I felt alone. Please don’t send your child here because it could ruin their mental health
Terrible School, Rank Third In My Regret
I was there from 2014-2019, there are two people who wrote a good review about this place and they are LYING, they were in the same year as me, and they looked pleased as punch along with me to get out of that place once and for all. The subjects i was educated with, most of them i wouldn't even dream of having a career in, the career i am having now wasn't even mentioned on Careers day, the students behaved so poorly socially wise by outcasting anyone they didn't see fit. It's always stick to your year unless you have a family in the other year, the social groups typically in America is not far off from the ones we had. They gave out Isolations, Detentions and Suspensions out like candy, the weekly Assemblies were useless and barely were even reasonable. They are lying when they say Parents BEG for their children to come to their sixth form, every person i know who went to that school regret going to that school. The teachers were swapped at a crucial moment half way through year 8 making us miss out on so many things at that stage. There were a few good teachers i will admit that but those were replaced by stubborn teachers. One final thing, if WE the students have a problem with someone else LEAVE US to sort it out, don't give out detentions, isolations suspensions for arguments we can sort out by ourselves, we GROW from these mistakes, DON'T correct our mistakes for us, LEAVE us to sort it out ourselves.
