Farlington School

Our experience at this school was unfortunately very poor. There was a lack of compassion, support and knowledge for our child with special educational needs and we were told it was not in their business plan to provide any support for this. When we tried to make contact responses were slow and lacking interest. One time our son said he got trapped behind a heavy door that he couldn’t open while the others were walking to class and no-one noticed and he was found later crying in the grounds by one of the bus drivers. We have since moved school where the support and kindness is much better. Farlington could learn a lot from how other schools support children with SEN.

A school in a prolonged phase of chaotic transition. Chaos and poor communication. Staff and pupils unhappy. Staff turnover is worrying and access numbers are closely guarded secret and staff trying to discourage applications very strange. Most pupils are not opting to continue education past year 11.

aha this school gave me crippling depression because the lack of mental health help and the bullying. ???
