This isn't a school, it's a prison, all its missing are the suicide prevention nets. When I was a student, it was ok to start with, but very quickly I was bullied to the point I wanted to kill myself. They don't take suicidal threats seriously, they just see them as a cry for attention, so if a student does take their own life, it will be on them for not acting appropriately.
I would never send my daughter there, I would do a better job home schooling her and am actually looking into moving to give her and myself a chance at a decent life. The staff assume they know the students better than their parents and all it cares about is its reputation. Students are disruptive and clearly don't care about getting a decent job (NONE of them will ever be a singer or an actor).
They say it was designed so students are always in sight when it obviously isn't with the amount of unacceptable behaviour that goes on. Male students make inappropriate comments to female students (and they touch them when they're not wanted) and comments to teachers and no-one does anything about it; they're being taught that their behaviour is acceptable when it absolutely isn't.
In the years since I was a student, it has gone even further downhill than I ever thought possible. There is no discipline (excluding them sending them home is NOT a punishment), and students seem to do what they want with no consequences.
If I ever see a kid wearing THAT uniform I avoid all of them like the plague and I advise everyone else to do the same. There is nothing good about it, students are not taught to behave properly and why it hasn't been demolished I don't know. Don't send your children here, it will all end in tears for them.
Their current Vice Principal used to be my teacher at the John Roan School in London. I forwarded my concerns about him to Folkestone Academy as well as uploading posts about my experience with him onto my Instagram and Facebook pages. They refused to look into my concerns and threatened to sue me for defamation if I did not remove my posts. They then sent out letters claiming that my 'historical allegations' had been 'fully investigated' and that they were 'proven' to be false despite FA stating themselves that they would not do an internal investigation. I They made it clear to me in the letter that they sent me that their primary concern is their reputation rather than the welfare of their pupils. I would not recommend this school as a safe environment for vulnerable female students. If I could give this school zero stars for the way that they have treated me I would. They’ve recently completely turned off posting on their Google reviews to silence me and a few other people who have voiced similar issues hence why I am now forced to reshare it here.
When I 1st joined in near 7 this school was very school is very good But the school has been going Terrible The math teachers will support you for anything for anything for example if you laugh at someone you'll get a support call.
