horrid, DONT SEND CHILDREN HERE.

this school is terrible. all they care about is results, uniform and the children’s behaviour. they treat children like zoo animals. will not let the children to the toilet when they need it, do not let them drink the water in class, don’t pay attention to mental and medical injuries, borderline strict (to the unnecessary point) and abusive, one of the teachers is a pedophile and a supply teacher hit a child across the head. the school is on the sex offender list and has had uncountable bomb threats they dont know how to prepare for. whatever you do, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL.

Pastoral nightmares

Was in severe pain so I went to pastoral office only for me to be laughed at by everyone there and accused of lying about it, went straight to the hospital after school and I found out that I had severe appendicitis that had caused and infection of the right lymph node in my abdomen and had caused a build up of fluid and a lot of swelling around my spine. I was than told that if I had been able to go to the hospital at least an hour before that it wouldn’t have been as severe and that the antibiotics(that weren’t working) would have at least stopped the infection in my lymph node, this infection has caused my respiratory systems already failing state to plummet.

Poor School

Firstly, the school only cares about results, uniform and homework. Most of the teachers were strict and that school left me with anxiety issues. During breaks you are not allowed inside the building and food is very limited. The school is extremely overcrowded and mutliple year groups had to share the tiny changing rooms for pe. Additionally the school uniform policy is ridiculous, only certain bags and shoes are allowed and girls cannot have skirts even on their knees without facing punishment. Girls are also often humiliated by being forced to remove their makeup in class in front of all of their peers, which is way more distracting then the act of wearing makeup itself. The amount of homework set in younger years is way too much and the schools mental health team is not big enough to deal with everyone there so many students who need help go without. Many incidents of bullying are blatantly ignored such as acts of racism and homophobia.

so bad

it's so terrible I hate going to school so badly. you get so much homework that you can't deal with it all and your mental health suffers, so you'll say you have too much work and it's effecting your mental health and they'll just tell you it's your own fault and that you should be able to do it all because other people can. they always claim to care so much about the mental health of students but whenever someone says they are struggling all they say is to not think like that and to go on a walk and have a nivery warm bath 💕💕💕 im sorry but a nice warm bath isn't going to fix my mental health at all. all the scool cares about is getting good gcse results so they look like this amazing perfect school.

they act like everyone who goes there loves it and it respectful and kind to everyone which is so far from the truth. the older kids make fun and hurt the younger kids just for existing, there's always fights on the yard and there is so much bullying. also, there is lots of racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia and abelism but when this gets reported to the school they either do nothing or tell you to ignore whats happening and they'll 'look into it' which they never do.

the teachers only care about you doing well if you're in a top set, apart from a couple who are genuinely really nice. there was this teacher who verbally and physically abused kids and everyone was reporting it since the start of the year but he was only fired a few weeks towards the end of the year. there's been many teachers like this and it takes school far too long to deal with anything.

teachers are incredibly strict when it comes to rules which I understand it's important to keep some rules however you'll be screamed at at nd given isolation if you're even 1 minute late which is not fair.

furthermore, the slt are terrible at dealing with student issues. I have many personal stories of one particular slt memeber not dealing with actual issues there were and instead focusing on the tiny insignificant things such as the kid who was wearing trainers because his shoes had fell apart and he couldn't afford any more yet. me and people I know have gotten in trouble for things such as self harming and having panic attacks and the school did nothing to try and support me or those students all they did was get us into trouble for it which is disgusting.

in conclusion don't come here it's disgusting

Average

Teachers didn't care about you unless you were in the top sets, they let certain students get aay with anything in my last year a year 11 kicked a year 7 over and over for for fun and his excuse was he was walking too slow.

There wasn't much food to choose from

Teachers displayed blatant favoritism

They washed money on new uniforms and making the school look modern and the classrooms suffered from it teachers woukd regularly have to buy equipment for the class out of their own money

Shout out to **** ****** and** ****** though they wasn't as bad as the others

Terrible

The headteacher bullied me for the last 2 years because of my medical condition. The toilets are always locked and it takes you 20 minutes to find a teacher with the key, just for them to sometimes refuse to give it to you because you should be in lesson. Most of the budget goes to painting the school and making it look modern while classrooms suffer because they have no resources. They will not let you go home when you are ill unless a teacher has seen you be sick, even if other people have it has to be a teacher who sees you. I was treated awfully by most of my peers the whole time I was there and none if the teachers did anything because they act like the more popular students are their friends.
