Starving kids and not giving their attention they need

My child is constantly complaining how teacher care more for their uniform than their education. There’s been letter home phone calls to pick my son up , and I ask for a reasoning all they say is “misbehaving”. All the teachers care about are the smart, kind, loving students, and not the students that actually need help. NO that does mean constantly picking on a child pressuring them but reassuring them that it’s ok, especially how he’s going to take his GCSEs very soon. Uniform makes them all look like robots the canteen and dining queues are constantly getting shut, or making students go through. NUMEROUS occasions where my son cannot afford a £2 meal because he has £1.70 for example it’s 30p and they just let students starve??? I hope not and the pricing is absolutely ridiculous aswell £2.10 for a PLAIN chicken burger is stupid especially in a living crisis it’s hard enough as it is. And student centre dont even get me started my son and “sprained” his wrist at break time and went to student 5 minutes before end of break all to be told he’ll be fine and needs to go to lesson then i get a call from him at lunch saying how much his wrist hurts and we go to the hospital to find out it’s broken, and i cannot believe all they did was tell him “go to your lesson” not even a phone call from them or anything absolutely stupid, will not be sending my daughter here (year 6)

Great acceptance, bad bullying policy.

I have been at the school for quite a few years. One thing i straight off noticed was that they were very accepting towards the LGBTQ and other minority groups which is good. However they are really bad at actually dealing with discrimination and bullying. If you told a member of staff you were being bullied they would either blame it on you or they just won’t do anything about it. Their current favourite excuse is “we can’t do anything about it” when they can. Younger years have had this problem and all I can do is watch, students are horrid towards one another and it just seems that the teachers victim blame.

A levels

Not good

Failure to deal with sexual harassment, homophobia and abuse from teachers. Little support for students, no diversity, too much focus on grades and numbers rather than actual people. Don’t recommend

GCSES

Not great for real cultural exposure

Zero diversity or sensitivity to racial discrimination. The school just wants to keep a good reputation and would rather antagonise students than deal with the racist/homophobic incidents. If you’re white middle class however a genuinely good experience to stay sheltered from the world. :)

Rubbish, needs EXTREME improvement!

No social distancing between pupils and staff, some touching our equipment, teachers with symptoms in school, ridiculous!
