This is a very disgusting school with horrible teachers and a incredibly poor environment. They took away the mirrors in the girls toilets but kept the mirrors in the boys. The teachers worry more about phones and chatting more than our education. This is very disgracefully school don't send your children here if you want them to have a good education.

As a year 8 this school is horrible the teachers think they don’t need to listen and can yell at us without us saying anything just being they are a teacher . They don’t provide a safe environment as their are many fights and someone that stopped a fight got punched in the face and they had to leave the school because they fought back.Their are lots of horrible teachers and many horrible students.The girls bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and not toilets have a door so their is no privacy.There is always a line to go because students like to skip classes in there and the people that have to wait get in trouble for taking to long. The staff never listen to the child’s point of view if they are in trouble they only listen to the staff. The parents don’t get informed on how we are doing with our education and there are no activities at school that we know and have been informed about. The schools behavioural system is disgraceful as they lie to the parents on EduLink so the parents yell at us and students get in trouble even if they didn’t do the thing the teacher said they did. Students aren’t allowed to explain themselves and the pe system is also horrible as students have to miss their pe (that we have once a week) just because a teacher is busy or isn’t there we also have to do pe at the park as there is no place we can that is at school. At the park we can’t be loud due to it being a public place so many people just walk around doing nothing all pe and we don’t get much time since we need to walk there and back plus needing to change so we miss around 20 minutes of pe time and that’s not including the warm up since we don’t do anything anyway so I would say we don’t need a warm up.There is much bullying at utc and the students don’t get treated equally and if your child is sick they will not get sent home as the teachers always think they are faking especially is there are a “naughty” student.Please do not send you child here! I don't recommend gputc.

You could tell that most of the staff genuinely care about the students; with a few exceptions. And as a whole, the quality of teaching -though not so much in the IT and Engineering departments, was good.

Though not the fault of the school, many of the students engaged in questionable practices, involving the use of illicit substances on campus and one incident involving a couple having sex in the sixth form accessible toilet.

That said, the productive working environment was conducive to allowing myself and my fellow students to go above and beyond what we were expected to achieve. There was never a moment where I felt that I couldn’t approach the staff for help in either academic or personal matters, and even during the pandemic, the staff tried their best to provide a good education for us all. For this, I would like to thank the staff at the GPUTC.
