I’d save yourself the trouble going here.

I wouldn’t recommend attending this school, My child has been here for a couple of years now and I would’ve pulled her out already if we had the patience to restart at a completely different school. Many teachers are horrendous, it’s been way worse with Tate in charge, kicking students out for parts of their uniform is ridiculous. I can name plenty of teachers that add to why you shouldn’t attend here. If you even dare wear something different than what they tell you too you’ll be singled out, it’s also been confirmed that many of the teachers have been teaching grade 3-4 work which I’ve been told by my child who’s overheard a teacher saying so. Some of the people who attend are horrible, there’s always drama with students and people getting singled out and bullied, it hasn’t change at all in the past couple of years and it truly needs to be fixed. My daughter is already doing her gcses so there isn’t any point taking her out but save yourself the trouble and don’t bother attending here.

Terrible school

School is absolutely terrible ,I dreaded everyday for the whole 5 years I attended hartsdown. They have no clue how to handle bulling ,infact I got bullied for the entirety of the 5years. There was homophobia infornt of a teacher and nothing happened ,if I could I would burn the school to the ground as there's no return from the state its in .I got repeatedly hit on the back of my chair ,had things thrown at me ,meanwhile teachers stood back and watched .I even got pushed infront of a moving bus and when the school was informed they did nothing. The teachers complain at students for nothing and I even on multiple occasions got yelled at for being deaf . I was told at one point by a teacher that I caused things for attention after I kept going to teachers about the bullying I was experiencing and tbf the list is endless

Understanding teachers

Hartsdown Academy has improved for the last 2 years. I am able to communicate better in school and they helped me overcome my problems in school by putting me into enterprise group which helps me the best.

Disgusting school

They have the worst communication skills towards parents and new schools your child could possibly move too to focused on correct uniform instead of bullying I was slapped infront of a teacher and nothing was done someone bought a knife to school and threatened people with it and favouritism is very clear in some unprofessional teachers
