Haywood Academy

As a recent year 11 student from Haywood academy I’d like to share my view on Haywood; Although it may not be the best school in the area of Stoke on Trent, it has been a pleasure to attend it, the staff there are absolutely brilliant there, the headteacher may be strict and well disciplined, but since year 10 she made it better than it was, there was no worry of fights or getting bullied, because she was always looking out for us, the students there still have time to mature and need a good jump start on getting better at behaviour, but I’d have no worries sending my child there in the future, I would recommend this school 1000 times if I had to, and it’s been a pleasure to learn myself as one of their previous students.

This school is diabolical...teachers bullying the children and reprimanding the children for things that they have apparently done with no proof whatsoever

Protect bullies & penalise the victim. Do not send your child to this school. In the process of moving our daughter to another school. And don't even get me started on the pathetic policies & rules this school has. Yet the teachers don't follow them themselves "Do as we say, not as we do" dictatorship. All this school is focused on is 'Targets' not the student's well being to make them look good.

I went here and they never did anything about the bullying or helping kids with learning disabilities. My niece currently goes there and gets bullied everyday even some of the teachers are bullying her. My sister has had social services at this school since she started for how bad it is. It should of closed down when it had the chance. The school is a joke. The students even tried to kill another student when I was I went to pick my niece and the teachers did nothing. They even nearly let a student kill themselves right in front of them when a car was coming at them. The poor kid looked dead behind the eyes. I wouldn't be surprised if I found a kid had died due to their negligence.

This is school is very bad bullying and harassment all the time teacher dont care at all , every child feels suicidal. Never come here terrible

Through out my time at Haywood I was bullied by tge other students there was not one day we’re I didn’t come to school scared, I got pushed infront of a car and they didn’t do nothing about it, most of the teachers treat you like shit and basically told me and my mum that I was lieing about the bullying, I had been begging for help for years and they refused to give it to me they are always saying that they have a 0 tolerance bullying policy, so why did I get bullied for so long and why didn’t they do anything about it, the teachers basically told you to grow up if you were having a bad day, when my aunt died they through a masive hissyfit over the fact I wasn’t in school and then proceeded to pick me up from my house to take me to school just 3 days after my aunt died, there’s only 2 hood teachers in that school and for them I’ll be great full, the school is an absolute joke and they don’t give a flying hell about your mental heath, they say they care but they don’t I wouldn’t ever send my kids here even if my life depended on it

This school is a joke the same as its safe guarding team when I need to call the school to sort problem out it takes hours and the staff are as helpful as a chocolate fireplace it seems to me that the school only care about its image and not the real bullying that is rafe in the school just like yesterday when the staff bullying the students and making threats about things what get put on the net about the school

do not send your kid to this school you get put in seclusion for the littlest things like drinking water if pregnant thy don't do much if you bob lesson they do not cook the food right the chicken is pink and my kid ended up bad and the food is always cold

I would give zero if possible. A school where the the first bullies your children meet are the teachers. These teachers who are constantly enforcing pointless rules that they don't even follow themselves. Avoid this school at all costs.

I’d give it zero if I could. It’s a pile of dog poop. School was a sinking ship in the 90s with favouritism, bullying, racism and alcohol problems with both students and staff. Seems nothing has changed apart from it’s all filmed now. Let your kids learn on the streets; it would be a safer environment. This school leaves your child SUICIDAL. Don’t do that to your child.

Absolutely horrendous the school care more about their image than the children,they care more about the students appearance than their mental health and have the audacity to complain about school work

The school is so shit and the teachers and staff are wankers no one can learn fuck all at this school

This school does not do anything about bullying or harassment. They don’t have any compassion and some of the teachers are horrible to students. There are a select few who yell at kids, even if they do nothing wrong. There is also a major bias with the teachers, especially PE. I recall one teacher who gave one person extensions on the work (with no valid reason) and didn’t allow any other students to. Fix it.
