Hazelwick School

To be quite honest, the school puts on a facade. A facade which masks the reality of the place. They claim to be making ‘strives’ for representation- yet their teaching staff is made up of 98% white teachers. There’s one black teacher that only joined in october and there’s 2 Asian teachers. The rest of the POC staff are cooks or cleaners. It isn’t good enough. Hazelwick claims they are an all inclusive school which wants to prioritise mental health- yet when you confide in a me member of staff you just just get referred to ‘safeguarding’ who do absolutely nothing. All they do is call your parents, which 99.99% of the time only makes matters worse for the student. There’s one head of year that hit a kid around the back of the head with a medium sized pile of paper and talked about what would happen if he sent a nude to one of the other students in the class. This other student just so happened to also be male. The teacher, who is straight, treated being gay like it was a joke. The schools a pigsty. They only care about attendance and assessment results, not the kids contributing to these numbers!

I am lost for words hazel wick is mentally sick the teachers are so horrible to the students and act all nice in front of the parents in 2016 there was a video put out on social media and it made me distressed where I had to send my son they always give out of lessons and have to go with 6 formers as a younger child that could be scary so this school is rubbish don't listen to there academic records you don't know what it is like in school hours

I went here and it was a literal nightmare. All the school cares about is looks- doesn’t matter if you’re working hard if your shirt isn’t tucked in. Everything is basically for show- the school pretends to be all pro LGBTQ and anti racism but they will do nothing if you’re getting bullied and the students are homophobic as hell. Also the schools treatment of disabled students is purely hellish- students don’t give a flying s*** and nor do the teachers. I got bullied and nothing was done.

Just discussing how this school affected her life with my daughter. I should have sued them for how she ( and us parents) were treated when she had a mental health issue . They ruined her life and she is still severely affected years on so it makes me angry to see they have not changed. Its all about how it looks on paper for results, they hide the truths about the pupils who's square peg doesn't fit in their round hole. so glad i refused to send my son there after or his life would have been ruined as well.

Hi I'm a unfortunate dad who son has got unfortunate got to leave the real wonderfully school tGatwick school due my fault as I have to work full time and have to rely on people to get him to school ,my son didn't want to leave Gatwick school I called hazlewick yes hazle wick with a small h not H ONLY GET THAT WHEN THEY DESERVE IT ON FRIDAY MY BOY HAD HEARD SOME HORROR STORIES THE YOUNNG BITTER LaDY REMEMBER ONLY YOUNG ONE VERY RUDE Said BASUCALLY SAID if I want my son here or take him else were no consideration to my issue went school today explain my concerns would not even let me explain away from students in reception I explained that its not right in reception still refused only when I said well if that case I'm taking my son only then did they take me into office explain my concerns they were totally ignorant towards my issues defended there own ,personally and only personally I feel they have met there rota of asian pakastani indian kids and don't want any more that's why they are deliberate being rude to asian parents so we don't send our kids there like I said this is only my opinion if any one had same issues pls get together resolve this as it is a good academic school and all kids have the right to go yes all kids to dumb mckenzie Lonsdale,hatchet, polo,reebok classics wearing ones you know who you are il break it down for you dummies that also means the little brown ones 2 have a right

The school don’t care about the children’s mental health and are racist. The bullying doesn’t stop and the school doesn’t do anything about it. one of the teachers told a class to go hang them self’s . A rubbish school that only care about what they look like.

Extremely controlling. Half of the teachers are zionists and/or homophobes. We are prohibited from raising awareness for Palestine, and given hypocritical assemblies on how school is a place for "debate and learning" but at the same time raising awareness for certain issues is prohibited. This shows they do just want to create a narrative of seeming like a "safe and accepting" school, without doing anything. 98% of POC staff are janitors or cooks, only 2 brown teachers. All heads of the school are white, and are the ones prohibiting the free speech of the majority students. Horrible punishment system. No bully has ever stopped. Students are called slurs, harrased, and cat called everyday. Disgusting mysoginy. Many teachers are also bullies, one of them even told the students to kill themselves. Ridiculously overpriced uniform, my phone cost less. Almost all forms of self expression is prohibited, students have no sense of who they are and are left from finding who they are. This school is a false paradise that makes students depressed, stressed, and unsafe.
