I don’t even want to give it 1 star in all honesty. The school is absolutely awful the staff are so disrespectful and not helpful in the slightest when I started it was just after Covid started to get better and year 7 was okay but as I went into year 8 they’d changed the classes and the people in them I had really bad anxiety and this shock me up a lot I’d tried to stress to them that it’s going to take me a while to get used to I still attended lessons and still got into so much trouble for walking out if I was having a panic attack my mum had also stressed to them many times that I have possible adhd and autism and that I struggle a lot as well as mental health problems the school did not want to know at all and swept it under the rug a few days later I got an inclusion for being rude to a member of staff as she was shouting in my face yet again another incident they didn’t do anything about so my mum got called in the morning of my inclusion and I refused to hand over my phone and mr gray (my head of house at the time) said I can either leave it in his office in a locked draw and if I do my inclusion I can see him at lunch and go on my phone or I could give it to my mum for the day and I choose to leave it with mr gray I went to mr grays office just before lunch as I could feel a panic attack coming on and wanted my phone so I could go home and he refused to give it to me and I asked him nicely if he could call my mum and he also refused he said he’d give me my phone if I stayed in his office I agreed even tho I was going to go home when I had it but that changed pretty quickly when he sat leaning against the office door so I couldn’t leave I got angry and a few students saw this happen I eventually got out when my mum came up the school and he then claimed to my mum that he felt “threatened by me” even tho he’d caused it all I done nothing to make him feel unsafe I just shouted for him to let me out. I did have a picture of his shoe and leg lent against the door and the school were aware as my mum had sent the headteacher the picture I went in a few days after and got told that if I don’t delete the picture the police will be getting involved I said let them get involved and walked out and after that I didn’t see him again. I then left for almost a year and went back in year 9 and on my first day back I hadn’t been given my timetable so I was trying to find someone to tell me what lesson I was meant to be in and I sat on the benches inside a block and miss mollicone ( not sure how to spell it) walked by and said “ I don’t know why your even back here your just going to fail) I didn’t say anything but I reported it and nothing got done as hellesdon high schools usual. Not long after that I got an ehcp plan put in place through the county council this had everything about me and all the things I need support with and all the things to do with me to help me through high school they didn’t follow anything on my ehcp apart from chucking me in st Edmund’s 2 days a week to apparently help me but anytime I was miss behaving or done even the smallest thing wrong they’d take a day anyway from me going there. My ehcp plan specifically said I need calm around me when I am angry and a safe place to go when feeling overwhelmed along with lots more and non of it was followed the teachers were rude and sucked up to all the innocent kids I left in year 10 absolutely awful don’t go there

Wow where to start, if you are thinking of sending your children there, DON'T!! Teachers need to get a grip, when I was there ofstead said 'Needs Improving' and they haven't done one thing, the teachers give you trauma!! And no help and don't get me started on the toilets I had half of my lunch waiting in queue and one time I went to the toilet and the teacher shouted, 'Come on girls etc your wee out' like WTF!! and I never went to the toilet at school again!!

This school has its share of below subpar aspects, but it also has many stupendous moments, too. I'm rating Hellesdon High School 4 stars because, overall, I think the positives outweigh the negatives. Almost all staff at this school are astounding, supportive and helpful. There's the odd few that degrade the learning experience (as in the case of every school), but they're definitely anomalies. The facilities at HHS are reasonable, and I do appreciate the amount of courses they offer at GCSE level. I further admire their recent implementation of new security measures, adding new fences and gates, a massive upgrade from their previous system, which relied on signs telling visitors to report to reception. I won't be touching on the inferior parts of Hellesdon High School in my review, there are plenty of other reviews on SchoolParrot for that. To conclude, is this school any good? Yes, definitely. Does this school have downsides? Yes, absolutely. Does every school have downsides? Yes, certainly.

I was a student at this school a few years ago they did not give help i needed in lessons when i ask for help they said we not lots more kids whith needs that need it and when i told them i was sad they didnt do a lot to help and made me so depressed and not happy there i used get bullied a lot when i used to tell my head of house he didnt really care in hellesdon high there was food on floor every where in the school the toliets once when need the toliets the toliets had a lot litter in toliets and also when toliets the blood and poo and wee down toliets poo up wall and pad for periods laying on the floor
