horrific school
You’re doing a major disservice to your child if you choose to put them here. I have been out of Helsby for a few years now and I genuinely think the experience I had at that school is going to follow me for the rest of my life. I was relentlessly bullied for years and I was given basically no support. As a former student at this school, I truly believe my education was taken away from me due to Covid and not enough support. I was diagnosed with adhd during my time at this school and it was never brought up to me that I could have an EHCP. If I did have one I would have had a better experience with understanding from teachers on how they can help during lessons. do not send your kids here.
i attended this school as as a student and have since graduated. they send the naughty kids on school trips when they have inspections,they keep the kids quiet and warn them prior inspections to behave,and treat them immensely different to general days. i have never in my life dealt with such horrific bullying,mistreatment by teachers and neglect in all my life. i had fell into a deep depression during my time there,i was on the councilling list for two years and never recieved help. do not send your children to this school,unless you have a death wish.

Horrible at handling bullying
This school is horrible at handling bullying , I was being relentless harassed along with my friend, they didn't do anything to help with this only handling the students when police had been contacted

Helsby high school
No door on boys toilet no locks on cubicles refusing to fix door even though it’s an easy fix they fixed it for parents evening to make good impressions but took it down themselves afterwards even though there was no issue it’s a completely different environment when off-sted are in school and the teachers also binge watch cameras with no excuse on why and and always fights and the teachers are aggressive and sometimes make physical contact with students in agressive ways and sexual ways making lots of students uncomfortable in school !!! Although mr Arthur Is amazing and helps students when needed

Notorious for bullying,
I would not send my worse enemy to this school,my grandson was brutally bullied for a long time,he went to hospital with a fractured clavicle,the people responsible for that got a week on suspension,then he was in the hospital with a broken nose,yet again the bully was given a weeks suspension, numerous other incidents,the school failed my grandson, this school is well known in the area for bullying, think twice before you send your children there,

School more like prison!
I was locked in a room for 8 hours because a student which was part of the LGBTQ told safeguarding I was being mean with no proof at all. Then when I tried to tell them and did nothing they said they did not believe me.

Good School
Great school, I had a great time while I was there however, a certain female PE teacher made year 9 a living hell for me. Any girls who've been to Helsby know who she is, but we move. Other staff are great like Wheeler who everybody knows and loves.

Helsby High School. Well, It is quite an old school and throughout this is noticeable. The schools hygiene is poor, of course under COVID measures it has improved but not by a-lot, for example hand sanitisers are not regularly filled up and well its not exactly a clean school. The teaching at the school is incredibly hit and miss, sometimes you will receive quite good teaching however I find too often it is either average or poor.
