Life-Long Trauma.

Left five years ago and still suffer daily from my experience there. Recently diagnosed with PTSD caused by this school. Harassed daily, unbelievably strict rules, endless bullying. Walking on the right side of the hall instead of the left? Detention. 1 minute late to a lesson? Detention. Scored badly on a test? Detention. Asking for the lights to be switched off due to a migraine? Detention and Isolation. No help with work, made fun of when you don't understand, I had a teacher sit directly in front of me, and anytime I stopped writing he would snap his fingers in my face and slam the table threatening me to keep writing. Students run rampant, breaking things, stealing things, smuggling various illegal items into the school. Teachers spend most lessons screaming at students instead of teaching, more substitutes than actual teachers. I was locked in the Isolation room for the whole day for something very small. Bathrooms are locked during lessons, the gates lock students in during the day. Very hostile and overlording environment, where teachers thrive off of being overbearing and borderline abusive. I suffer everyday with the memories and the nightmares of this school.

nah don’t go

worst school ever. been here since y7 and honestly it’s gotta be said that i’d rather go to bartley. sure there’s no fights but you see these girls getting detentions for wearing white socks. the teachers honestly don’t care about you and if your mental health is poor, the school counsellor snitches straight to your parents about everything you’ve said even if it’s just exam stress. honestly it’s the most annoying place on earth, doing a trek up a whole hill and getting a 30 min detention for 1 minute lateness is mad. just don’t go here, french is mandatory as well your practically done for as soon as you walk through the gates.

Do not go.

The school food there is terrible, many people got food poisoning and several of times on different occasions. The school is homophobic and teachers do not believe that some people are able to be transgender or lesbian during school years. Many teachers also do not handle bullying or mental health situations well either and if they do try to do anything about it they make the situation worse by calling parents etc. There are also not much choices to choose from and many teachers treat students as if they were dogs or toddlers.

Don’t go

I went from 2015ish-2019. I wasn’t given a choice about my options after moving. I had to catch up with lots of the work myself and the teachers didn’t seem too helpful until you’re in year 11. The students bully others. Especially on racial comments. Me and my friend would often cry in school it’s not a good environment
