I have autistic spectrum disorder and this school says they help students with autism(like me) but i NEVER recieve that help
"Equality"
Cant even go to the toilet. Kids cant go to the toilet in thr first or last 15 minytes of the lesson. Cant go first or last block. If the teacher shouts at them to get their way the student is obviously going to have a go back, but then they would be sent to reset or isolation. Your all about equality yet teachers can wear jewlery, skirts dont have to be at their finger tips and they dont have to wear blazers all the time. "Equality" is a strong word for a school that doesnt use it.
The school is not how it seems
When I say do not send your children here I’m not saying it lightly, this school not only care more about the uniform than the actual education it’s self but preaches about it’s help for students mental health. It’s a joke ! They are highly unempathetic towards losses, and will most likely turn you away if u ask for help, they will tell you to come back at break or lunch. Safeguarding will make promises and never keep them. And they don’t listen to you opinions or thoughts they will just put you down at any point they can. I could go on and on about why not to send you kids to this school. But genuinely if you want your child’s best interest at heart take into consideration what I’ve said when choosing schools .

The schools fake chicken gave me a throat infection with the paninis dripping with grease from the amount of cheese they put in them and its like eating a shoe.

this school is really bad if ur sick and go to the nurses all they do is give u a icepack or wet paper tissue they also treat us like prisoners

The fake chicken at dining gave me a throat infection and I ended up at the hospital. Amazing School! (really do not recommend)
Diabolical school
Even though I'm in my ninth year and am academically successful and gifted, I despise my school. I feel like a complete target of bullying and a trophy. There are other students here who need support and assistance but never get it, despite the school's claims that it has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. When I have kids, I will avoid this school like the plague when it comes to safety measures because they are ineffective and will only encourage the bullying there.
Don't bother...
Well what can you say about this school? Probably the worst in the south-west most of the teachers are pompous and care about their status more than the teaching. The bullying is unrealistic here from both students and teachers and if you're not a picture perfect person then you don't fit into this school. They're teaching these kids to worry more about what they look like than actually teaching core values. God and if you have an opinion which is different to theirs 'wow' i wouldn't bother if you're an open mined person they will argue you down. Worst time of my life this school ruined me.

the school say to express yourself but then you are unable to because they DONT LET YOU. teacher told the girl that they would rip her nose piercing out.

Do not go here!
Do not send your children here. Teacher's profile and make assumptions of students based on 1 incident. Anti-bullying pledge is a marketing ploy... very little gets done with bullying and victims often get punished for sticking up for themselves. There is a general toxic culture and very little teachers will allow you to go to the toilet... A supply teacher denied a girl permission to go to the toilet to the point where she was openly state she was on here period and they still didnt let her go! Teachers are extremely hypocritical.... constantly walking round on phones and most of the time on Facebook yet they will go up to someone, phone in hand, and confiscate a students phone. I myself haven't experienced a sanction since the beginning but I am safe to say that I have witnessed several cases of unfair judgement and sanctions in my time so far. Lesson quality is alright but often disrupted by late teachers. Most recent incident at the college being a student setting fire to the toilets.
I adore this school
Brilliant, only moved here at the end of my school years but I adore everything about it! Helpful and friendly staff. Engaging and interesting lessons. Especially in the science department! Awesome support and safeguarding team too, there’s always someone to talk to and offer advice with exams and lessons. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here

Poor.
The school never deals with problems appropriately when it comes down to it, and when it concerns a parent they would actually do something to stop or prevent a situation form occurring or deal with someone who is causing problems. Mr Clemow is the only Top G teacher.

The school trip to France was a waste of money do not recommend they punished us 24/7 took our phones exaggerated everything and gave us all isolation for playing a game to entertain ourselves as they took our phones.And they treated us like objects.

This school sucks. We hardly have any door locks or toilet seats in out bathrooms. The foods gross. You get BCDs for forgetting p.e kit. They don't care about bullying but have a massive safeguarding system. Thy care about the uniform more than the kids. There's gum everywhere. The uniform is so overpriced. People vape in toilets. Bullying
In my opinion, bullying is not stopped here at ivybridge community collage. Children are constantly feeling upset and lonely ect because of things like bullying that the school does not manage. I get that it is hard for teachers as there are so many students, but it is their responsibility to make the children feel safe and secure and happy. Feeling the upsetness that the children sometimes do, leads to worse education, therefore worse jobs in later life.
This school kinda sucks
This school kinda sucks. A Load of people vape in the toilets, there are usually no toilet seats or locks in the toilets. They give you BCDs if you forget your p.e kit (that's unnecessary). They don't really care about the bullying at this school either. You get told off for being inside eventhough your being quiet and there's no one else around. It smells all the time and theres gum everywhere. I don't recommend

don’t go, my daughter went there and she was in year 10 and she had loads of mental health problems from school, and the school didn’t do one thing and she ended up attempting to end her life. but the school insisted for her to go to school and made her do everything as normal had no conversations to her, we ended up moving her school as so disappointed.

Right. Where can I begin. I have been attending ivybridge college for 7 years now, The foods inedible, i would rather eat the radioactive equipment in the science department. SLT all are completely clueless of what they are doing. they claim to help and support us through our entire school career but i have seen no results at all. Swear down that half of the teachers have been kicked out for fiddling and i wake up every morning wishing i lived in a 3rd world country.

Theyd rather brush issues under the rug then deal with it. Care more about the lengths of skirts then wellbeing.
Don't believe the negative reviews
All the negative reviews do match with our experience. The school has been very proactive when we have raised queries with them. Teachers are approachable and engaged, and a good range of extra curricular activities. Our children are progressing well and are happy at ICC
