⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my honest review of judgemeadow after 6 weeks | year 10 student as a year 10 student who has just started at judgemeadow this year, i'm genuinely really enjoying it so far. idk why there are so many negative reviews because my experience has actually been really positive. i also noticed that a lot of the reviews are from around 2022–2024, so maybe things have changed since then. obviously i can only speak from my own experience because i've only been here for about 6 weeks, but so far i would definitely recommend the school. right from the beginning, they make sure students know what is expected. when you first start, especially in form, they go through things like attendance, punctuality, staying on the left so everyone isn't walking into each other, bullying and cyberbullying, uniform, phones and general behaviour. phones especially are taken seriously, you're not supposed to have them out once you're inside the school gates or they can be confiscated. honestly, i think it's better that they explain all of this straight away instead of students having to figure out the rules themselves. we also have weekly pds lessons, once a week, where we talk about things outside normal subjects. we've talked about physical and mental health, anxiety, depression, wellbeing, staying safe, relationships, online safety and other things that become more important as you get older. there's also a lot about becoming more responsible as you move through ks3 and ks4, which i think is especially useful for year 10 because we're now starting our gcse years. the school's official information describes its personal development curriculum as covering areas such as pshe, rse, citizenship, careers and wellbeing, with a weekly pdc bitesize session in form as well. 📚 education & learning education has honestly been really good for me so far. year 10 is obviously a big year because we're starting our gcses, so there is more focus on keeping up with work and becoming more independent. in maths there's a support teacher/sub there who you can always ask for help when you're stuck, which i do quite a lot. they even gave me a book to keep because i really wanted to advance my learning, which i thought was really nice. teachers generally seem willing to explain things again when you don't understand instead of just moving on. i've also seen people checking up on classes, like staff coming into lessons and sitting there for a while to see how the class is going and how students are behaving. idk exactly what they're called 😭 but i've seen it happen, and i think it's good that people actually check what's happening in lessons. 👩‍🏫 staff & teachers the teachers i've had so far have been really friendly and approachable. you can ask them questions, ask for help and tell them when you don't understand something. they also seem to notice when students aren't okay, which brings me onto safety. 🛡️ safety & security i've noticed that teachers actually check on students, even over really small things. in pe or sports, if someone gets hit by a ball or even gets hit on the head, a teacher will normally come over and ask if they're alright. obviously if someone is actually hurt or in serious pain, they'll take it properly and deal with it, including contacting parents if needed. i've also only seen one student who uses a wheelchair so far, but it's nice seeing them around school and included like everyone else. i don't know everything about the accessibility around the entire school, but i've seen them getting around and using the cafeteria, so i thought it was worth mentioning. 🏫 indoor & outdoor environment the school itself is really big, so it can definitely be confusing at first when you're trying to remember where everything is 😭 but you get used to it. there are loads of classrooms and different areas, and the outdoor space is really good too because there are massive fields. there are also two separate cafeterias, one for years 7, 8 and 11 and another for years 9 and 10, which helps keep things a bit more organised. 🍩 food & meals the food honestly deserves its own section 😭 there's a variety of meals and it changes every day, so you're not constantly eating the same thing. there are also always snacks and usually some sort of dessert. they have things like donuts and they're genuinely sooo yummy. 👔 uniform i actually think the uniform looks good. they are definitely strict about it though 😭 i'm not always perfect with mine either, but usually if something isn't right, teachers will just tell me to tuck my shirt in or fix it properly. i haven't got a c1 for uniform so far. the school's own uniform guidance does say things like shirts should stay tucked in, so the teachers aren't just randomly making up rules. behaviour & punctuality there's a proper behaviour and punctuality system, so they definitely take those things seriously. there are c1s, c2s and c3s depending on what happens, as well as reward/merit points for doing well. from the school's published behaviour policy, a c1 is a warning and reminder of expectations, a c2 leads to a detention and a c3 involves being removed from the lesson and getting a double detention. personally, i don't think it's too bad because you know what the expectations are. being late can get you a break-time detention, but you don't normally just jump straight to the most serious consequence over one tiny thing. 📢 school information there are weekly assemblies for each year group where they talk about different topics. they often go over things like punctuality and behaviour, but they also talk about other things throughout the year. i think it's useful because everyone gets the same information and reminders. there also seems to be quite a lot of checking in with students generally, whether that's through form time, lessons or pastoral staff. the school says its pastoral team includes form tutors, heads of year and other staff who monitor students' progress and wellbeing. activities & clubs i haven't done loads of activities yet because i've only been here for 6 weeks, but there are actually quite a lot of opportunities. the school has sports and extra-curricular activities, as well as things like music, drama, revision sessions and after-school opportunities. the learning resource centre also has homework club, and the school lists after-school revision and other activities on its website. honestly, everything is basically on the school website, so parents or students can just go on there and check what clubs, activities, information and opportunities are available instead of me trying to list every single one. 🌍 different backgrounds one of the biggest things i've noticed is how many different backgrounds there are. there's genuinely people from everywhere — british, european, indian, pakistani, arab, french, african and loads of other backgrounds. i've even heard people speaking hindi around school. most of my friends actually came to this country last year or a few years ago, so if your child is new to the uk, i wouldn't worry about them being the only one. there are loads of students who have also come from somewhere else and everyone has different backgrounds and cultures. for younger students coming from another country, there also seems to be support around settling in and developing english alongside school. i think that's especially useful because being able to focus on english first can make it easier to catch up with everything else. overall i've only been here for around 6 weeks, and it hasn't even been half term yet, so obviously i haven't experienced everything. but that's actually why i'm quite excited to see what the rest of year 10 is like. i've already seen teachers checking on students, staff checking up on classes, the pastoral side, pds lessons, the behaviour system, the different backgrounds, the clubs and activities, the food, the massive fields and loads of other things in such a short amount of time, so i'm hoping i'll enjoy it even more as the year goes on. i'll definitely make another review at the end of year 10 because then i'll have experienced a whole year and can properly compare it to how i felt when i first started. and nooo, this is not sponsored by judgemeadow 😭 i'm literally just a student who genuinely likes the school. i noticed a lot of the reviews were older and really negative, so i wanted to give a newer perspective based on what i've actually experienced. i know this review is ridiculously detailed but that's literally because i wanted to talk about everything i've noticed instead of just saying "good school, nice teachers" and leaving it there 💀 i don't work for the school, i'm not affiliated with them and i currently have absolutely nothing to do with making the school famous haha. i just genuinely love it here and want the school to do well, so i thought i'd give it some credit where i think it's deserved. so yeah, this is just my experience after my first 6 weeks at judgemeadow, and so far i'm genuinely really happy here.

such a bad school teachers dont know how to teach this school needs to shut down its so bad that even the janitors are rude and disrespectfull dinner ladies snaatching food would not recomend even nurse talks about students behind backs and she sends away all kids who go to her never send your child here!

Ima be dedass im still a student in JM im in yr 11, but this school is horrid dont send ur kids. I won't chat bs in year 7 i was a good yute, I did my hw and and all tht stuff nd I never mixed in with the bad kids, but now they aint no good kids left to socialise with and ur gonna end up as what u called a bad kid in yr 7 by the time u in yr 9. Even if u stay as a good yute, don't act like the others won't take the piss out u for it and even if u say the slightest thing, u will get banged for it. Oh yh this school is filled with vapers drug addicts fighters you name it. The one thing is that there are acc some amazing teachers here tho like the IT departments head and math teachers but with the students its a pain up the ass

Worst school I’ve ever been to Teachers just sit in there chair not even bothered to teach us Getting detention for stupid and unscientific things Students are rude but some can be nice Teachers Do care if something happens bur always believes the younger years or they do improper investigation Fights happen on a daily basis Food is alright The school is hanging on students and less are coming each year I put the school as Third on my list of schools and I got it if anything don’t put Judgemeadow on your list Would not recommend this school to your child let alone mine

Teachers are extremely rude and make sarcastic comments towards the students in regards to their protective characteristics. The teachers bully children and they give the student detention for useless reasons and often wrongly because they think certain student are escape goats for their frustration. Teachers target certain students and provoke them until they cannot take the rude comments so the student snaps. The teachers don’t know how to behave professionally. There’s no counselling or psychological support for children whatsoever the only thing they know well is give detention

I was one of the first to go to this wretched school. As you will see my spelling and grammer is attrocious as I used to play truant. My dinner money would be taken on a dailey basis. I would be beaten up by the white kids for being a Asian. There was far worse which they will not allow. The teachers used to make fun of me as I had an Indian accent. In Home economics my mother marianted the food and the teachers went around opening the windows and holding their noses calling it sticky P8ki food! This set off the black and white kids who joined in. I was beaten up for being fat and it was the worst place ever. The same teachers who riddiculed my food, and my accent turned up to my resteraunt and I reminded them of that time they berrated my food, my accent and now they come in for a curry! They looked sheepisly but needless to say I served them but thier food had ingreadiants that would not be on the menu. I played truant as I was beaten up, called the P world and the P and even worse is what I placed into the dishes they orderd.

Very bad school,children’s behaviour is so bad,recently group of children hit 1 child,it’s unbearable,parents no one admits ur children to this school,teachers actually don’t care

At judge meadow community college I have seen some very distraught scenes and the staff are quite harsh to students about detentions and also I’ve seen some very bad bullying going on and children getting bullied because of their appearance and also fights happen to occur because of this . It’s not just this though the type of children there are in this school they vape under 18 and are caught judge meadow need to up their security with this younger children vaping can encourage other children to do the same and effect their health. The facilities in Judgemeadow look unclean old teared and they need to change this as my advice towards this. Another reason not to send your child to this school is because they are most likely to get bullied and the teachers learning techniques are quite complicated.The meals at judge meadow are terrible they are too bland. Please I beg you parents listen to this advice.

An inept school with year 8 head not bothering to return calls. We have a disabled son who needs 24 hour care, our daughter walks to her siblings primary school and escorts them to the car, our daughter is given detentions for the same day with no notice. This has been communicated to the headmaster who does not care. They are given 1 hour detentions for being 1minute late. If my daughter deserves a detention she deserves a detention. Its the lack of empathy and ignorance from teachers and office staff that goes with it.
